So, I just saw on CNN yet another medical "expert", this time a lady, who continues, when asked about a "travel ban" for East Africa, to state emphatically that a ban will not prevent people infected with Ebola from existing in the US with Ebola. She went on to say that, as a result of a travel ban, we would not be able to stamp out Ebola in East Africa.
Pray tell, have I completely lost all remnants of any clear thinking, or is this complete nonsense? First of all, medical "experts" continue to conflate a travel ban with our inability to help in Africa, as though the only way medical assistance could get there is on commercial airliners. Clearly, military transports could be used to fly medical personnel and supplies in and out, and, most importantly, under controlled circumstances.
Also, why do the "experts" on TV continue to claim that a travel ban would not prevent people with Ebola from entering the US? Just in the last hours, it has been reported that in Boston a man who was recently in Liberia was being taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Why is there no explanation of what flight path this patient took to end up in the US? Was this a direct flight, and, if not, what was the path? This is exceedingly frustrating and about to drive me crazy.
So enthralled to liberal cloud cuckoo land that she deliberately misses the point, which is not that we can get absolute perfection but that we sure could cut way down on the exposure to this stuff.
They clearly want the U.S. and Europe to be infected. Clearly.
Nonsense is the polite word -
It’s complete PC nonsense.
It’s just plain lying. How is the virus going to cross thousands of miles of ocean if no one brings it?
Across the border through Mexico.
- Georgia guidestones
Perhaps a swallow could carry it.
In miami this AM on a hispanic network, a female doctor was on who just came back from Nigeria. She spouted nonsense about “people not shaking hands” but bumping elbows instead and how— she was NEVER stopped when re-entering the US... never stopped. And this was in Miami.
So, yes the medical govt. intelligentsia do not want their liberal boat rocked of govt controlled healthcare— coupled with gross negligence and incompetence, possibly inspired by Cloward Piven and/or dreams of La Raza.
This is a deadly game- as ebola is verrrry democratic and non discriminating in it’s vector spread. It makes no regard for PC protections of culture and politics.
Somebody really, really wants to make us believe this bullcrap.
Nope, you aren’t going crazy, this is irrational. More to the point it’s doubling down on irrationality. I don’t think that this is a matter of being stocked up on Lysol either, it looks like this bugger is hard to kill.
It could grip the Ebola virus by the husk.
If Ebola status in Africa not enough white people will be infected and that’s not fair.
No mystery at all. If there's a travel ban, they have to stay there and continue to infect each other instead of coming here and infecting us. It's that simple.
I want to see how these same doctors would react if someone with Ebola moved into their house..coughed on their children, let’s see if they respond with the same liberal BS mindset
We had a Queensland health person trotted out on the news who said there is absolutely no risk that someone would get Ebola from a patient then in Brisbane hospital(turns out she was right because the patient didn’t have Ebola). While the risks maybe minimized once a person is hospitalized there is always some risk. The riskiest time for a medical person is when they take of their protective suit. To say that there is absolutely no risk with Ebola then is just a lie but she seemed happy to be trotted out to appease the public and stop them calling for a quarantine of countries or people coming in from those areas. Useful Idiot!
She said “East” Africa?
