It's been a rough campaign for Rep. Bruce Braley (D), who is running for the U.S. Senate in Iowa. It got a bit worse Friday when first lady Michelle Obama campaigned for him.
First, she called him "Bruce Bailey." [seven times] (Bill Clinton also recently made the same mistake.) Then she said he was a Marine Corps veteran. (He's not.)

Somebody quickly pounced the Braley/Bailey flub. The Web site votebrucebailey.com redirects to the campaign Web site of Republican nominee Joni Ernst.

We need to start a write-in campaign for Bruce Bailey.
I saw the moron call him that seven times.A person in the crowd told her his real name..This shows me those two obamas are ignorant don’t even know who they are campaigning for.I’ll bet she could not have picked the man out of the crowd if he was in front of her..Go back to what you do best moron and that is vacation,but make sure you spend your own money..

It’s quite simple to spin this — cover the gaffe on the name, don’t point out that he wasn’t in the Marines, makes him look good, and that’s how partisan media shills ‘work’.
I saw a video clip this morning. Good grief, that beast looked like the salt monster from “Star Trek.”

They destroyed Sarah Palin for saying 1400 Pennsylvania Avenue. That was the joke of the week. Are we going to hear any media joking about Michelle?
