Ninth Circuit Strikes Down Gay-Marriage Bans in Idaho, Nevada

WASHINGTON—The San Francisco-based Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Tuesday struck down same-sex marriage bans in Idaho and Nevada, setting the stage for legal gay marriages in five more Western states.

The unanimous decision comes a day after the U.S. Supreme Court let stand lower-court rulings that ended bans in five other states, a move that effectively expanded the right to gay marriage to 30 U.S. states. The Ninth Circuit decision will apply to five states with marriage bans in that appellate circuit, likely expanding to 35 the number of states with legal same-sex marriage.

Let me see if I have enough brains to see past the blatant deception going on. Federal appeals courts tell states they can't pass laws and then SCOTUS refuse to hear state appeals. Do our _handlers_ actually think we're all as stupid as the majority have become?

Let me inform anyone interested in law, which doesn't include H. Hewitt. SCOTUS has original jurisdiction in cases regarding state VS DC. We can't have such incompetence; who is in charge of states and other institutions of USG?

Judges can be impeached for unconstitutional behavior. This will happen after Nov 4th.

In fairness to Reagan who nominated him, [Kennedy] was the third choice after Bork and the male Ginsberg were voted down by a strong Dem majority in the senate.

Didn't Ginsberg have his nomination withdrawn before he had a chance to be grilled by the SJC after reports that he'd smoked doobies in college?

This is were national taxation comes home to roost. Would that state lose its federal funding?

These queer “marriages” will be stopped — I assure you of that. It is coming soon.

Just create a new legal status filing in place of marriage license required for legal status, tax filing and work benefits. Charge the same fee. It can be straight or gay. Just get the government out of the marriage business and leave it to the church.

http://www.pbs.org/newshour/bb/whats-next-legal-battle-sex-marriage/

Before one groans, oh, PBS, this interview involves also the “Alliance defending Freedom” so some of the “Circuit Courts” have not ruled on it yet, maybe it is not an absolute done deal but the outlook must be gloomy, I admit that.

“Like I mentioned, you have the four circuits in the 20 states who are continuing to debate this issue and litigate it in the courts. And we are looking — there are federal courts that have ruled in favor of marriage. The Eighth Circuit has ruled in favor of marriage. A Louisiana federal judge ruled in favor of marriage.

We have seen courts in Tennessee and Mississippi rule in favor of marriage. This is not over with by any stretch of the means.” - Austin Nimocks, Alliance defending Freedom

We need Ferguson type riots at the Supreme Court, in daylight while they are in the building.

A decision not to decide is literally a legal ploy to allow another president to overturn it or challenge it and alter the terms of the law, and make them into civil unions for tax purposes and other “family benefits”, but not marriage itself.

Some ballsy governor, and I can’t really think of one, should issue his own executive order stating that no gay marriage should be performed in his state and if anyone does they will be arrested and charged under state law.

That's the best answer I've seen yet. The only way for this to be overturned & thrown back in the faces of these black robed tyrannical bastards, is for a "conservative" Republican governor to grow a pair of balls and issue a governor's executive order to immediately negate & nullify any state or federal judge's same-sex marriage edict. That's what socialist RAT bastard liberal democRATS would do for rulings that they disagree with. Or else they would just ignore the judicial ruling. Unfortunately the Repulican (Repukes) governors are running for the hills in desperate fear of tyrannical judges, in red state after red state!

God have mercy on our sinful nation, but I fear that God's mercy has been nullified by the liberal RAT bastard judges & legislators in some cases, and it is now time for God's judgment & wrath.

If America is bound and determined to embrace such evil, I’m ready to opt for secession. The republic can just die.

Here-Here! Or as they used to say in the Revolutionary War period, Huzzah-Huzzah! We desparately need secession from 12-14 southern & western states, but we gotta have constitutional, conservative governors & legislative leaders with balls, to call up state national guard units and tell our coward RAT bastard 0dumbo-in-chief to go take a hike, we're not listening or taking orders from him anymore.

We need Ferguson type riots at the Supreme Court, in daylight while they are in the building.

That would never happen. Hundreds or even thousands of jack-booted military & quasi-military thugs (part of 0dumb0's civilian army) would outnumber the pro-traditional marriage protesters by a hundred to one. And the media would either not report it at all, or derisively dismiss the protesters as kooks!

Not in a million years, in either a democRAT congress or Republican congress (both House & Senate)!

I believe that most Repubs these days are just as pro-Sodomy & lesbianism as the democRATs.

It will force the court to rule someday, and it will be forcing them to rule in favor of same sex marriage. It will also force the other appellate courts to rule in favor of same sex marriage as the SCOTUS said that it was OK.
