A Georgia man was killed by police executing a search warrant obtained after a car thief told police he stole methamphetamine from the dead man’s vehicle, media reports say.

...snip...

The homeowner, David Hooks, a 59-year-old grandfather and businessman, reported the missing SUV.

...snip...

An hour after getting the search warrant, Shook said David Hooks’ wife saw camouflaged men in her yard with guns and told her husband.

David Hooks’ final act was to arm himself with a shotgun.

...snip...

Police searched the home for 44 hours and found no drugs.

Too bad the thugs weren’t killed. The thugs being the no knock Gestapo home invaders that would rather believe one of their own kind, that is a common criminal.
I’m tired of hearing these “innocent mistake” stories. This no-knock SWAT abuse needs to stop.

Just wow.

No wonder home invaders yell “Police” to confuse the residents. If our Constitution had any influence, that wouldn’t work, because the police would rarely execute no-knock, SWAT type raids. Criminals yell “Police” because who can tell the difference anymore?

Militarized, violent dumbass cops strike again. Sadly, this man is dead and the lesson is clear: Own a high powered rifle, shoot first and keep your mouth shut. The police were as wrong as they could be, but the outcome is that they are alive and this poor man is dead. Better to be alive and in prison with a hope of being set free in the future.

A FOURTY FOUR HOUR HOME SEARCH FOR METH????? Why? was the quantity so high and potent, or were there 38 otherwise unoccupied officers out trying to impress the Chief? I don’t understand why so many officers were put onto this. Of course something like the IRS ‘lost’ emails don’t warrant this level of response ever.

It’s time to start firing cops and their supervisors and their supervisors supervisors and revoking all their pension rights. Maybe this kind of police misappropriation of public power and public trust will someday be diminished.

But I strongly believe that the key is to disconnect the evil doers and their incompetent supervisors and their incompetent supervisors supervisors from the gravy train of public largess. Nothing will get their attention like the mass revocation of pension plan status.

Probably because it dawned on someone they F’d up and were trying to find something, ANYTHING, that would make it a righteous take down.

“Police searched the home for 44 hours and found no drugs.”

Like the guy anal probed over clenched butt cheeks, these pigs were desperate to justify their stupidity and excessive aggression.

Only a cop would take the word of a criminal, especially if it allowed them to strap on the battle rattle and play soldier. Thanks piglets, for showing more people how worthless your ‘profession’ is.

Why should I, as a cop, take someone who robbed the individual in question at face value? I would sooner do an announced search with a warrant. If the guy kills any cops or fights in immediate response to the otherwise peaceful approach only then justify force.

Because they shot and killed a man over the word of a car thief. They were probably desperate to find something, anything. I'd imagine as the hours wore on, the dreaded feeling of "we really f###'ed this up good." must've manifested itself.

Doesn't anybody do any investigating anymore? Any detective work? Or is it just, "thief says he found the drugs in the car he stole. Let's put on our cammies and go kick his door down."

I'd like to see a flat fee paid out from the police union pension to any homeowner whose home is searched as a result of a warrant, and nothing is found. And of course, the cops would have to be watched like hawks so that they didn't plant anything.

"We were sure you had meth, but you didn't! Here's your check for $200,000. Boy, my retirement fund took a real hit today. I guess I'll be more careful next time!"

It’s believable.

It’ll be even more believable later, because there will be zero consequences for the morons in law enforcement and the judicial system who did this.

If the cop who led this raid and the paper pusher who signed off on it get bankrupted and/or go to jail then it’s one thing, but dollars to donuts the taxpayers will pay and the neanderthals who authorised and executed this crime will skate.

Good cops are heroes. Bad cops need punished all the more severely because of it.

Oh well, he lived a good life and maybe his family will have a memorable funeral for him.

The main thing is the cops got enough meth to fill up a little match box, off the streets....

We are now all much safer.

A 44 hour search for meth? The Gestapo cops probably literally tore the house apart.Take out drywall, pull up floor, empty the freezer and cabinets, dig up the basement, etc. Definitely a CYA move one the thugs part.

All part of Barack the Kenyan’s “fundamentally transformed” America. America isn’t a very friendly place anymore now that the Nazis and commies are running it.

I am not familiar with the case except for the details contained within this anti police article.

It looks like there was a warrant for the search. Also, the constitution does not mandate a knock on the door to accompany the warrant, so I don’t know why a no knock entry complaint was relevant.

Moral of the story: when cops have warrant for your house search, you cannot brandish weapons. Well, you can, but that would be suicide by cops.
