First read on the perp is he's probably not schizophrenic. Haven't found any prior history, plus he's a little old, (30 yrs old) for onset, but it does happen. Usually he would have 'presented' by now. He's had run ins with the law, was in prison, a history dating back to 2006. . . somewhere along the line there should be a psych history. Not saying there isn't, just haven't found anything on the web that says he has a past psychiatric history.
I do recall a few cases of mutilation fueled by meth and or coke. Wonder what his toxicology report will be?

Nolen, according to state corrections records, was convicted in January 2011 of multiple felony drug offenses, assault and battery on a police officer and escape from detention. He was released from prison in March 2013.
According to the Oklahoma State Courts Network, Nolen has arrested for marijuana possession in 2009, assault and battery on a police officer in 2010, a traffic violation in 2006,driving with a suspended license in 2009, and cocaine with intent to distribute in 2006.
It is simply whether one has the light of life in their eyes or not. It’s fairly easy to spot but it can’t really be explained.
