The latest Pew survey for the first time sees a major reversal of support for gay marriage and an increase in religious politics.
A growing share of the American public wants religion to play a role in U.S. politics. The share of Americans who say churches and other houses of worship should express their views on social and political issues is up 6 points since the 2010 midterm elections (from 43% to 49%).
That’s an interesting shift at a time when we’ve been incessantly lectured by libertarians that social conservatism is dead and the Republican Party needs to climb on board the pot and gay marriage train.
Speaking of gay marriage…
It finds a slight drop in support for allowing gays and lesbians to marry, with 49% of Americans in favor and 41% opposed – a 5-point dip in support from a February Pew Research poll
A 5 point dip is not minor. It means some people are getting religion… again.
The new poll also finds that fully half (50%) of the public now considers homosexuality a sin, up from 45% a year ago.
But what could have possibly caused that…
And nearly half of U.S. adults think that businesses like caterers and florists should be allowed to reject same-sex couples as customers if the businesses have religious objections to serving those couples.
Fascism isn’t all that popular after all. The sight of wealthy gay men abusing older women running flower shops and bakeries hasn’t been all that appealing to Americans.
Gay men are losing the sitcom sympathy that got them this far because they’re acting like thugs and bullies.
A larger share of the general public sees the Republican Party as friendly toward religion (47%) than sees the Democratic Party that way (29%).
A declining share of Americans see the Obama administration as friendly toward religion; 30% now say the Obama administration is friendly toward religion, down 7 points since 2009.
Wouldn’t count out social conservatives just yet.
Social degeneration is seldom reversed. Where it has been reversed the reversal was a result of a major shift in civilization; i.e. from Classical to and through the early Middle Ages to the dawn of Western Civilization 1000 to 1100 A.D. There will be no major reversal for centuries to come.

You throw out Reason and Christian Ethics with homosexual “rights”. You throw out the ability to “think” at a profound level which only comes with understanding the Laws of Nature (where Modern Science originates) and nature’s God.
When you pervert Truth—with pagan, demonic “ethics” as sodomy always is-—meaningless, irrational acts which use human beings in demonic objective ways—you erase that which created Western Civilization and the Age of Reason: Individual NATURAL rights from God.
That understanding of Truth/God and Natural Law-—there is no contradiction between the two -—ever (St. Thomas Aquinas)——is what led to the minds of John Locke and Adam Smith.
Without Reason and Virtue (which sodomy promotion eliminates always in minds of children to create irrational, emotional addicts), there is no “Civil” society, nor is there Individual Natural Rights from God.
There is only “group think “ and collective rights and the persecution and killing of dissenters. Emotions rule always and there is no possibility of using Reason or having “Rule of Law” (Higher law than irrational man-made up law)-—and Common Core is to ensure absolute “group” think in all children.
Promotion of sodomy is the complete flipping of Good and Evil that was established in Western Civilization and created the US Constitution. We are regressing back to paganism and Satanism (demonic ethic system) where emotions and ignorance and insanity rules.
Homosexual cultures destroyed the minds of the next generation by raping the boys...and creating a hatred for women and children where diabolic cultures had no compassion (Love) for fellow human beings. There is no Love in sodomizing others-—it is lust and the ultimate mocking of God and Nature and dehumanization of people. To elevate this abomination destroys the ability of children to understand Natural Law-—which all Classical and Modern philosophers understood if they were considered “educated” and profound thinkers.

Much to my wife’s dismay I refuse to use gay in public or at all really. They are either sodomite, homos, or deviant regardless of my company. If I feel like being passive I use the term loser which the wife knows covers almost everybody I usually rail on.

There’s no such thing as “social conservatism,” just conservatism. Anything else is with prefix is an impostor.
