Three Afghan Soldiers Visiting Cape Cod Have Gone Missing BY TOM WINTER
Three soldiers from the Afghanistan National Army visiting Cape Cod, Massachusetts, for a military exercise have gone missing, according to the U.S. National Guard. The National Guard in Massachusetts says they believe at this time there is no threat to the public.
Maj. Jan Mohammad Arash, Capt. Mohammad Nasir Askarzada, and Capt. Noorullah Aminyar were last seen at the Hyannis Mall Saturday evening, a National Guard source tells Cheryl Fiandaca of NBC affiliate WHDH.
A senior law enforcement source tells NBC News the FBI Field Office in Boston is aware of the disappearance and takes these matters seriously. The source tells NBC News that these soldiers are vetted by a wide variety of agencies very carefully before being allowed to travel to the United States.

Do they have any hillbillies in Cape Cod? No real hills, the highest elevation is only about 100 feet. Cape Cod is pretty much tourist traps, retirees and a smattering of fishermen, with a couple of long range radar stations (well protected), Coast Guard facilities and a National Guard training area. The F-16s launched to intercept the 9/11 hijackers were out of Cape Cod.
The tourist industry pretty much skews liberal, as with the retirees, though there are a lot of military retirees, especially on the Upper Cape (nearer to Boston by road), but they are mostly Northeasterners.

I was just out there, and I saw a surprising number of nontypical bumper stickers, i.e. Mark Fisher, Scott Brown, NRA, 2nd Amendment, etc.
