Despite a healthy 45% of the vote they only carried 3 of 32 “council areas”, including Glasgow.

And the only other seat they’ve held since Blair is next door to that one.
They used to have disproportionally more seats than England, that was ended after they got their Scottish Parliament back.
The Tories 3 constituency MSPs (there others elected proportionally under the Additional Member” System”) in Scottish Parliament are also from down south. They had 1 more, in a historically conservative part of Edinburgh, but lost it in the last election.
