I’d best not comment on that moronic question.

I have heard it is difficult to sing but it sure sounds good.

One of the best National Anthems there is.

They could have said, “Is it time for a new national anthem?” But no...they had to talk about DITCHING it. I truly hate these people...and they know they elicit that kind of response, which makes me hate them even more.

I won't comment on what Polutico can do but Whitney Houston's version of the Star-Spangled Banner is one of the best!

It's time to ditch it at sporting events unless people just sing the song and don't ad-lib and make it all about them.

They want to ditch it because none if their liberal voice “arteests” can sing it without screeching and screwing it up.

More distraction! The White House needs to get attention off the BIG issues!

Don’t fall for it.

The US is no longer the same country for which that flag was designed. The name should change also, for the same reason. I don't think the Founders would want to be associated with the illegitimate, anti-Constitutional government that now operates falsely and dishonestly as "The United States."

Deutschland Uber Alles makes you want to get up, grab your gun and march to the frontier.

Rule Britannia swears that Britons never, never will be slaves (except as directed by Sharia Law)

If you like your national anthem, you can keep it.

“Politico Lead Story: ‘Is It Time to Ditch the Star-Spangled Banner?”

It’s time to sing it.

I did a search on Ted Widmer and got this Wikipedia article. He was a Clinton speech writer, so it might be the same guy.

I could go along with ditching the first 3 stanzas and just going with the last:

Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved home and the war’s desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the heav’n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: “In God is our trust.”
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave!
