Romney: 'My time has come and gone'

Fomer Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney argued Sunday that he'd make a better president than Hillary Clinton -- but that he's not planning to mount a third bid for the White House.

"No question about that in my mind," he said on "Fox News Sunday" when asked by host Chris Wallace whether he'd be a better leader than Clinton.

Prodded by Wallace, Romney insisted he has no plans to run but stopped short of a Shermanesque refusal.

"I’m not running, I’m not planning on running," he said.

Romney said that while he also would've made a better president than Barack Obama, "My time has come and gone. I had that opportunity. I ran and didn’t win."

Romney made waves last month when he told a radio interviewer that while he's not interested in running, "circumstances can change."

Mitt please get a real job, bringing back jobs to America.

Please do something for America. You’ve got a ton of money, and could do very well bringing back jobs and industry here, with a Washington DC which supports America for a change.

But do NOT run for President. You had your chance.

Roger that Mr. Astute. If you couldn’t see that the lyin’ king was gonna be ringing the death knell for this country during his first 4 years and it took you well in to the second year of his second term, then you just don’t get it. Thanks for trying though.

The hatred for Romney was greater than the hatred of Obama. It gave us four more years of this evil man.

Good. He should keep it that way and not muddy the water.

Sorry to disagree Romney, but I think you could screw the nation at least one more time... I know you have it in you.

Actually, it wasn’t hatred that done him in.

It was just that fewer people worshiped him.

"I’m not running, I’m not planning on running," he said.

Less talk, more do. Just go away.

"My time has come and gone. I had that opportunity. I ran and didn’t win."

Right. Romney is a closet Progressive and therefore against the US Constitution, but he does not appreciate what that makes him. (Progressives never tell you the down-side of their beliefs.)

If he wanted to do something genuine for his party and its base, he would bankroll a national debate on Mississippi, and Mark Mayfield.

“and therefore against the US Constitution”

I don’t like Romney, but that’s just an extreme statement.

The hatred for Romney was greater than the hatred of Obama. It gave us four more years of this evil man.

Maybe that is because he was so destructive during the primary and became a total wuss during the actual campaign. He and his minions totally destroyed his primary challengers, attacked them like a democrat and then he lay down and allowed Obama to roll right over him.

Romney said that while he also would’ve made a better president than Barack Obama, “My time has come and gone. I had that opportunity. I ran and didn’t win.”
= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
He is completely wrong here.
He did NOT run for President.
He ran for the nomination to represent the R Party.

The ‘original’ though process from ‘his camp’ (GOPe) was that if a ‘clean candidate’ did not run taking back the Senate was an impossibility.
Remember they told us that someone had to run to make sure the voters got out WHETHER OR NOT HE COULD BEAT BO.

Romney then went and DESTROYED all the R candidates, not only destroying them but alienating their backers to the point of some didn’t even show up to vote PERIOD.

If the Romney camp would have run a campaign against BO half as ‘blood thirsty’ as what he ran against his ‘R’ opponents, he may have done something.

As it is what he did for BO and his minions should have earned him a ‘Royal Position’ in the mismaladministration.

What Romney succeeded in convincing me to do is I will NOT vote for a Non-Conservative again in a Presidential Election.

Having a RINO for a Sen or Cong is not quite as bad as the #’s are important in the long run.

Remember B Sanders was not a good R but served our purpose better than him being I and throwing his lot in with the D’s.

As bad as McCain, Graham, Collins etal are, WE are better off (in the long run) having them as R’s rather than D’s.

But - I will never again vote for the likes of Dole, McCain, Romney etc and I not was all that enamored with Bush(s).

There is absolutely NO way I would have voted for Gore, Kerry or BO so should have left that box blank.

Of course, if enough of us take that tack, ‘they’ will change it so you can’t vote if you don’t fill out the ballot completely - which will lead to the end of write in campaigns - If I were ‘forced’ to vote I would make myself a write in .......

He would be a better president than Hillary, and Hillary would unbelievably be a better president than Obama.

There was a time when I thought Hillary would be the worse president ever, but I really hope nobody takes that title away from little Barry Soetoro.
