Its ironic that the 9/11 event actually was used by the Country to prop up the Muslim religion and to make it more legitimate than it was before. The Government has no qualms about shutting down the rights of Christians where at the same time they are literally promoting the whole religion of Islam.
When is the last time anyone in Government ever referred to Christianity as a "Religion of Peace" or any other religion for that matter? It is only the Muslim religion that gets that designation even though of all religions in the world it is the least peaceful. It's holy book declares the virtues of killing and beheading everyone who does not profess to believe in Mohammed.
Hey Kerry - have you even read the Hadiths that describe what Mohammed did? I Have and highly recommend others read it. Mohammed IS the face of Islam. He raped, slaughtered and tortured people. It is not hard to understand what Islam is - it is all written down for everyone to see.

I've read parts of it and because it is such a convoluted piece of crap, I couldn't give you one passage I remember clearly. That and the Koran are so contradictory, it's no wonder people don't understand the essence of Islam and it's threat to western civilization.
Disclaimer: I also don't believe in the Old Testament in the Bible. I barely believe much that is written in the New Testament because people back then thought the world was flat and Sun revolved around the Earth. I have a spiritual side to me, but have difficulty believing anything written down by people of that day. I know I will get crap for writing this, but those words in the Bible were written by unknowing fallible men.
Still, I believe in Christian/Judeo mores. They made this Nation strong and mostly righteous which led the World into enlightenment/liberty, even with all its faults. I've long been disgusted by organized religion. May be the Buddhists have the right idea about inner self connection to the universe. Maybe not.

You spoke honest real words and thank you for your service. Anyone that doesn’t admit doubts about the Bible is not being real. The New Testament was written by ordinary people and this is important. If 3 people actually witness something and write it down there will be slight differences because people are imperfect. The slight imperfections in the gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke (and John as well) actually lend credibility to their accounts. Those people actually witnessed something astounding.
God can use ordinary imperfect people to do His work. The fact those people believed the world was flat is irrelevant. The starting place is the NT. If your heart is not touched to believe that God reached down to man (man can’t reach God) and allowed a man named Jesus to rise from the dead then the rest of it matters little. I would give it a shot and not let disbelief in the incredible miracles stand in the way. Your life depends on it.
But consider this - if a God could create the entire universe than why is it that hard to believe a God could intervene and work miracles through ordinary men?
