Organizers of the world's largest St. Patrick's Day Parade say they're ending a ban and allowing a gay group to march under its own banner for the first time.
The prohibition on identified gay groups in the centuries-old New York parade had made participation a political issue. Democratic Mayor Bill de Blasio refused to march this year, and Guinness beer dropped its sponsorship.

See it was all about the Banners, Gays and Leprechauns were always allowed to march as long as the didn’t use a banner to tout it. After all the is a parade for Saint Patrick, show some respect!!!
So the Gays win and good guys like Bill Donahue must be having a fit. The Beer boycott worked, I haven’t had a Guiness or Sam Adams all year.

Jackie Mason said it best when he asked why do homosexuals deserve a special section in a parade. Is there a special section for any other group of people? And when the homosexuals have a parade do groups of straight people show up demanding a special section in their parade? And who cares what Mayor Wilhelm thinks? The more things he stays away from the better.
It is all about a “sinful lifestyle choice”.
I won’t be watching it.
