Ron Paul: Government Had Foreknowledge of 9/11 Terror Attacks: U.S. gov't more destructive than OBL
The Washington Free Beacon ^ | August 28, 2014 | Staff

Former Rep. Ron Paul said he believes the U.S. government had prior knowledge of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks and has kept this information hidden in a classified section of the 9/11 Commission report.

Paul, who made the comments during a radio interview last Friday, also argued that the crimes of Osama bin Laden were “minor” compared to the harm the U.S. government has caused since the 2001 attacks.

“I believe that if we ever get the full truth [about 9/11], we’ll find out that our government had it in the records exactly what the plans were, or at least close to it,” said Paul, during the interview with Money and Markets host Charles Goyette. “You already mentioned that [the U.S. government] had been warned that something was going to happen.”

However, Paul said he doubted that Bush administration officials personally helped plot the attacks.

“Does that prove the fact that our president and others actually sat down and laid the plans and did this? I don’t think it does,” he said.

Paul also said the U.S. government has been more destructive than 9/11 mastermind Osama bin Laden.

“Our own government did more harm to the liberties of the American people than bin Laden did,” said Paul. “[Bin Laden] was a monster himself, but that was minor compared to the damage done financially, the people that have died. And here we are, 24 years, and we’re still fighting a war in the pretense that had something to do with 9/11.”(continued)

C'mon man! Admit it that the old man has made some good points even though the way he says it can be better.

Presidential Medal of Freedom, I'm tellin' ya! Schools shall be named after him!

The way people REPORT on what they say he said....

Reading his speeches in context makes them sound an order of magnitude more reasonable.

Of course, for those suffering PDS, there is no hope. The light of rational thought will never pierce the gloom of their minds.

Totally agree. Paul has been taken out of context more than El Rushbo.

Or Bush, or Reagan, or Ayn Rand, or...

It’s the same story and the same games-playing on a dozen key issues. Not just here either. It’s pervasive.

There’s an al Qaeda doc recovered in Afghanistan, it’s a letter from Osama bin Laden To Mullah Omar listed as doc # AFGP-2002-600321 in what was the CTC at West Point’s Harmony database.

Take the info in that doc and Osama bin Laden himself puts his finger right on Hillary’s head as being behind the terrorist attacks all the way back to the 1st WTC bombing.

She is the one responsible for orchestrating news stories as part of the preparations for the terrorist attacks which is why she concocted the “spontaneous” lie, there are no preparations for the attacks they’re “spontaneous”.

And he rarely criticizes the security gap during the Clinton administration. If anyone lacks maturity, it was Bill Clinton and his handlers. Ron Paul should retire and go away because he had his chances for years to work to bring the government back on the side of the people. I’ve met him in person. He is strange. He is just Mr. Conspiracy now.

I look for his son to run as to where that will split the votes (again). The plans are being made. The Gop-e will never support him (and why would they / he’s not loyal like Mitt was to them/ he’s like the empty suit character to conservatives) Time and time again, he praises the Queen Liar, supports drones, supports amnesty but first he was against all of those things.

Your idea of “stable” is rather bizarre. Other than Mubarak, who, while something of a tyrant, was little threat to others, the other three were and are the main weapons-of-mass-destruction purveyors (plus the DPRK) in the world. Or don’t you believe in WMDs?

If Alex Jones were in Congress or David Icke were a Member of Parliament, they'd be very similar to Ron Paul.

I used to think 9/11 Trutherism was nutty. I don’t anymore.

Maybe it something to do with the brazen way “Obama” is putting the terrorists, missiles, and other weapons into place for terrorist attacks all over the country. He is flying jihadists and missiles, etc., into the country by the planeload.

Really? What do you think he is saying here? It wasn't Bush that was POTUS in the years leading up to 9/11

Then why does he receive 99% of the blame for it?

They tried to assassinate GWB’s father. After 9/11 and a zillion UN sanction violations it took very little for Dubya to decide to kick Saddam’s ass. In hindsight I wish he had left Saddam alone but that is what happened. Trying to kill a US President is an act of war and it was quite personal with Dubya. In addition Saddam DID have WMDs. No doubt of the chem WMDs, they found a bio trailer with no agents but there is a lot of sand in Iraq. Nuke WMDs - we really don’t know that he did or did not have them.

Again - I was never fully in favor of removing Saddam. I like having dictators in the middle east. Otherwise you get what we’re seeing now with ISIS.

What difference at this point does it make?

Perhaps the Neo-Con plans are working perfectly...

Stir up the Middle Eastern Ant bed...

and let them “burn themselves out”....

Seems to be working well.

...sort of like...”Balance of Power”... ( ; )

Did you read exactly what he said? Because everyone seems to be ignoring what's really offensive. Okay, he said all his other theories. They are either crazy or he's a prophet.

But when he says 3000+ Americans losing their lives in a horrible way. (and by all likelihood it would have been many more) The fact that he would insult their memory and say their deaths are, "minor" is disgusting. Please tell me how you can support a man who would say this.

Fire, police rescue workers who ran into the Towers knowing they were going to die. And Paul is going to degrade an demean their memory? That's sick.

I don't care about any conspiracies he talks about. But the fact that he would be this anti-America and turn 9/11 into a joke makes him beneath contempt. If Americans are such scum, why doesn't he go live somewhere else?
