This is exactly how this will play out:
The shutdown WILL occur on Oct 1. No noticeable effects for a while.
On or about October 15, Obama will pull the plug on the EBT cards and blame Republicans.
From October 15 - November 1st, increasing levels of riots will occur in major cities. The entire time, Obama and the Propaganda Corps (ABC NBC CBS CNN NYT) will blame it on the shutdown and on Republicans.
November 1st through 7th, Obama will demand Democrats get to the polls to restore government services.
Democrats will turn out in numbers never seen before on an off year.
Republicans will not take the Senate and will lose the House. Obama will keep importing Latinos at a breakneck speed from then on. There will be no threat of impeachment or limitation any more.
The coup will be complete.
Some people remark that the States administer EBT. True, but in 2013, during the government shutdown, the Feds were about ready to pull the plug on the states. Please note this letter:

You could not be more correct. I've said as such from the pulpit...and I have already planned on repeating said statement again this Sunday.
At the start of the school year down here in Houston, there were news reports with school officials indicating they were preparing for these unaccompanied foreign children...not sure how many we will get, but we are making preparations....blah blah blah.
Our gubbamint NEVER intended on deporting these people. This is so serious. It is a national security issue at the very least.

Being as I was there myself, I have never forgiven the politicians for Vietnam, and I never will. BTW, I would include Korean War vets too. That was the first of our no win wars. When I saw the ROE for Iraq/Afghanistan, I thought, here we go again. I heard a Korean War soldier asked Gen MacArthur why we surrendered the initiative to the enemy on the battlefield, the General had no answer for him. F the politicians.
