And if the designated punching bag is mentally ill or deaf, it’s fair game, I suppose, to beat and taser him. Every cop who is video-taped behaving in this unprofessional way should be fired immediately. Doing it in front of a crowd is unbelievably stupid.. What kind of police chief hires officers like that? He should be fired, too.

When I was in the JAG, I kept the record of the trainee abuse complaints against the drill sergeants. It was just a few, but they made everybody look bad.

Let's see...huge guy, white, didn't see what happened, wouldn't comply with what they were telling him to do. Two cops might not have been able to keep him down if he decided to keep going and try to get up or escape. I'll give him a pass.
Now IF it was a black guy the cops would be racist killers...

Strangely the only thing I could think of was how weak the cops punches looked, I doubt that dough-nut munching blue boy could punch his way out of a paper bag. That said, he was way out of line hitting that guy like that.

Did you see how the cop paused to cop a bit and then proceeded to continue beating the everliving crap out of this dude.
Once an officer has a man restrained and submissive there is no need for more force to meet out some sort of punishment. They need to throw the cop in the slammer and let him do some hard time for a whole and get his mind right. Glad they got it on video.

I thought that he was trying to destroy evidence by eating some drugs, and they were trying to prevent it.
One cop seemed to be trying to pry something from his hand, while the other one was trying to subdue him (well, distract him at least) with lame punches. The suspect was kind of a giant - more than a head taller than any of the cops.

Police have not given his name or explained what the charges against him are. Well I would say the charges are pretty obvious the way the guy was assaulting the cops fist with his head!
