That woman must be nuts.
Is she insane?
I hope that they will be happy together.
Meshuga.
HOW IS IT, THAT IN ALMOST EVERY CASE ARAB MEN MARRY JEWISH WOMEN...ONLY?
YOU NEVER SEE A JEWISH MAN MARRY AN ARAB WOMEN.
WHY IS THAT?
Judaism runs through the mother.
Islam runs through the father.
The Arab Muslim world (even in Jaffa, Israel) would NEVER permit their womenfolk to marry Jewish males, they would HONOR KILL HER so...
What does all this mean?
ONE WAY STREET, DOUBLE STANDARD, NO REAL CO-EISTANCE as long as ONLY Arab men marry Jewish women.
Even though I am opposed to this intermarriage, I will join the Bleeding heart (Peace Now) movement, when I see Jewish men marrying Arab Muslim women at the same ratio I see Arab men marrying Jewish women. THEN and ONLY THEN, will there be a “fair” balance.
We will ignore the fact that “progressive” Jewish women later on find themselves trapped living in an Arab village with an abusive husband but that's for another discussion...
Both the Jewish woman and her Muslim husband now have a set of crosshairs on them by the Palestinian and Hamas nut cases. Unfreaking believable.
She’s crazy; the “protesters” are jerks.
She must be really angry at her parents for something.
May every Democrat Jew in this country have their darling princess daughter bring home an unemployed Muslim man to meet mom and dad.
I think a good Wedding gift for her would be a DVD of the movie “Not Without My Daughter”. At worst, she may look at the in-laws a bit differently - at best, she may try to extricate herself from her dangerous attempt to show rebellion against her culture.
Talk about incompatibilities ...
She married the enemy. The fact that she abandoned Judaism and Torah makes it even worse.
So many things wrong in this article:
1. The group is the Israeli version of the Westboro idiots.
2. This is NOT an interfaith wedding. The idiot lady converted (which she will regret, but has the legal right to do under Israeli secular law, at age 18). It’s fairly common, and yes, Christians become Jewish, muslims become Jewish, and Jewish people convert as well.
3. The issue is confusing because Jewish law does not recognize conversion FROM Judaism (a view I agree with theologically -— but disagree the State should have anything to do with it -— the issue is between this woman and G-d -— and will haunt her children).
4. Part of the issue is also that there is no secular marriage — you have to be married by your religion, and can’t be married if you have no religion. This was done, in no small part, to avoid gay marriage in Israel. A by-product is secular couples (like this one probably is) fake converts to Christianity or, more commonly, Islam.
