Sarah Palin called in to Michael Medved to confront him about saying her impeachment idea is stupid. She was in her car and he is putting her back on at the half hour.

Having served for 22 years myself, I have no problem with his answer. I don’t think saying “I didn’t want to go to Vietnam.” in answer to the question “why didn’t enlist?”, at least in the years 1964-73 is evasive.

In any case, if you joined the military during those years you had a very good chance of going to Vietnam, so the two are in fact closely related.

Now having said that, he missed out on so much! The military is a way of life that some love, and others would hate—it isn’t easy. In my opinion, I think it helps build a better you.

Oh, and then of course, the GOP continues to raise the debt ceiling when Obama drives the country toward that cliff. Face it, the current GOP is impotent. They don’t have the courage to say, “Enough is enough!”

While the voters continue to vote for this political circus.

The problem, as in Clinton’s impeachment, only more so, is that the GOPe needs Obama for cover for moving in a servant class.

They don’t have the moral fiber, not as a whole, to get rid of the 35% corporate tax rate, or what ever large number it is, so they want to do it this way.

They could not, have not and will not geve a care in the world to wheter the House or the Senate or the presidency goes to the Dems.

They are complicit.

The only thing left is impeachment? really?

NO not by a long shot.

The Republicans need to be recalled, first. And the Amnesty has to stop. Then the republicans need to join with the lone Ted Cruz and be willing to shut down the government or anything the Dems push, but stop funding this.

Impeachment.

NO No No.

The Dems want impeachment so they can Get rid of the anchor of Obama. The republicans don’t want impeachment because they are on Obama’s side, in his camp. they do not represent us.

look at what Rubio did.

Cornyn,

Graham(nesty)
McCain
Heck Gingrich and Romney.

good fro Sarah, for bringing the question to the fore, and for getting on Medved, nasty just nasty liberal pretense.

the impeachment talk is healthy. Sarah is 100% correct by law.

WE have lawless republicans who need Obama to be president.

They are selling us.

Chris Wallace, the show everyone complained about yesterday, for slamming Bibi, letting the PLO rep rant and the George Will jibberish to go on, was wrong about one major thing not mentioned at all.

That Scalise is a Tea Party favorite.

he stated he refused to cut funding to Obama.

Eh, that’s NOT Tea Party.

It’s like Joe Biden says he’s Catholic

To clarify; Sarah talking about impeachment is fine. And bring it on.

But the reason it’s not going through, and why we can’t imagine it, is the GOPe. They love Obama, they give him everything he wants.

And he gives them cover for importing in their servant class that their bosses at Chamber of Commerce, those the GOPe represent, demands that they do.

If they have the majority, they’ll have to work for us, and that will not do.

And they love Hillary.

Listen for it.

And they need abortion.

No, they can’t impeach. BUt they do need impeachment or recall themselves. And we are working for it. Mississippi, Va, KY, etc

They can’t impeach him whom they adore.

I do disapprove of his evasive trick(s), he chose not to serve yet wants to pretend that it was the ‘evil’ Vietnam war that made him evade military service, which he admits doing with the draft.

To support my opinion, is his years of use of his young son and the “wanting to be a Marine when he grows up” story, which ALWAYS followed the Vietnam evasion, followed by no comeback from callers, it was method that he used, not an honest explanation.

Michael Medved is a propagandist, it is what he did for the left and what he does now, everything he says and does is calculated.

Obama thinks it is a great idea. That is why he keeps bringing it up at all of the Democrat fundraisers.

Harry Reid’s Senate would not convict Obama if he were found in bed with a live boy and a dead girl and half the U.S. treasury in his personal account at the Cayman Islands. But talking about impeaching Obama is guaranteed to fire up the far left wing base and help the Democrats raise money for the 2014 elections.

Medved makes no secret of the fact that he is a reformed liberal.

Unfortunatly, his conversion wasn’t complete, and he suffers frequent relapses.

What makes you think we will win it in any case? I seem to recall we were going to win it all in 2012.

Obama's not running this year. Try to impeach him and he will be. Every black racist and self-hating white that ordinarily would not vote this year will crawl over glass to defend that bastard.

You are absolutely right. The Baraqqi regime is already using the threat as a fund raising tool.

That is not the point, he is guilty of High Crime and Misdemeanors, the House is obligated to bring the charges, it is the right and moral thing to do. The Grand Jury has no control over the Jury that is seated for the trial on charges they bring.

Records must be made and recorded for the good of the Republic, or the Republic will not stand, in fact may not in any case, but impeachment is the only tool left, use it or lose it.

That is the most cogent defense I've read here for impeachment. It mirrors my thoughts as well. The issue isn't whether a conviction can be obtained but rather are we a nation of laws and that no man is above the law? Impeachment of Obama should not be a political decision. It's a moral one.

This is exactly why I cannot bring myself to vote for a GOP this time around -— for the first time in my life.

If the President has committed an impeachable offense - and he has, in spades - then the GOP has a DUTY to do so. There should be ZERO thought given to saving their damned jobs in Congress / Senate. The issue should only be what is the correct thing to do. Otherwise, they are no different than OBooBoo - playing politics for personal gain instead of fulfilling their responsibilities.

but they have become impotent at making a case for ANYTHING, and stand ZERO chance of explaining to anyone why doping “the right thing” is the right thing. Thus, the GOP-E is useless - worse, since they occupy positions that some other, more useful public servant, could fill.

Sadly, I no longer care at all if the GOP-E gains control of the Senate.

I don’t think Medved ever stopped being a Democrat, he is just a circa 1995 Democrat, which makes him a Boehner or McConnell Republican these days. He is a lot like Joe Lieberman, a liberal who cares about Israel and hence is anathema to the Dems. I listened to him for a while in the early days of his show, and he was never conservative on anything.

Seems impeachment is legally appropriate, but not politically.

Bad form, eh?

impeachment doesn’t do anything if the senate votes not to remove. They left Clinton in with republican senators voting NOT to remove...

“Clinton was impeached in the House, but the Senate ultimately voted to keep him in office. The GOP risks repeating that part of history by impeaching Obama.”

Not only that, the Senate *refused* to look at *any* evidence. It was truly despicable.
