STEVE LIESMAN: Mr. President, I just want to pivot back one more time to domestic issues. You’ve said a bunch of times that getting the wealthy to pay a little bit more, and you’ve succeeded in raising that top tax rate to 39% or rolling back the tax cuts. Is there a limit there? Is there a limit to how much you believe the government should take from an individual in terms of a top tax rate?

Do you get it? He’s a marxist! He wants it all!
Under communism, the government is the sole employer, and the sole producer, and the owner of all property.
By constantly raising tax rates, he gets us ever closer to complete marxism, without most people getting their heads out of their a$$e$ long enough to know what’s happening.
There will come a day when this useless, piece of trash will no longer be President, and our nation will be a better place because of it. We just have to endure his nonsense for a bit longer.
Obama wants All money to go to him and he’ll give everyone an allowance if they’re Good Drones
I’d settle for him putting a limit on how much taxpayer money he can spend on his and Moochelle’s vacays.
There IS an upper limit on tax rates - 100%
Simultaneously, there is also a bottom limit on tax revenues - $0
If the objective is to collect maximum amount of revenue, then by all means, keep the tax rate low, and keep limiting restrictions on business activity at a minimum. The government coffers would overflow with the lavish collections.
But “an embarrassment of riches” is not what this Current Regime is looking for. Sure, they SAY that they want to keep it “fair” for the “little guy”, but what exactly does that mean? It means, dear readers and astute thinkers, that “fairness” requires that we must all be “little guys”.
The politics of the anthill take over. There are no elections within the nest, and the order is already established, deviation is not permitted. The roles already assigned are not to be challenged.
This is probably fine, if you are six-legged, have a segmented body, and communicate by touching antenna.
Ants do not pay taxes. They toil, until their exhausted and decrepit bodies fall, then the parts are carried off by other ants.
But if you are The Queen, why, then, it is GOOD to be Queen.
Yes, he wants the government to confiscate 100% of income above a certain level - what he considers at any particular moment to be “rich.” That’s a moving target, depending on which fundraiser he is at.
Obama is going to be a divisive but influential force for decades to come. He will be an unfettered, loose cannon who can cause plenty of mischief and discord. You can expect the Community Organizer to play the race and ethnicity card. And he will rolling in cash from his speaking engagements and representation on various Broads of Directors. You ain’t seen nothing yet.
No Limit...
Reminds me of Trayvon Martin’s Twitter account name.
Obama II’s old man, the Marxist professional student, drunk driving, wife beating bigamist who couldn’t hold a job wrote a scholarly paper on taxing people at 100%.
People like him—who knew best—would decide how much of your money was returned to you.
According to this dream from Obama the Elder, any of your money returned to you was of course subject to a number of conditions, like the feds, who produce nothing and neither do they spin.
I believe most of Zero’s many problems stem from not having a Daddy, much like Slick William, so they both overcompensate, act out and generally spaz all day long.
Strictly for the low-info mouth-breather because it disregards the Reagan tax reforms (1986) that closed tax loopholes, deductions and adjusted tax brackets. A particular example was that previously you could deduct all personal interest on the Sch.A as well as (grin) political contributions. Given that the buying power of the inflation adjusted dollars were far higher back then (1950-$10 for 2014-$1 / 1960-$8 / 1970-$6 / 1980-$3), all of the standard brackets were correspondingly more valuable. So this meant that the Margin rates at the highest incomes were much greater and so correspondingly fewer paid it.
Ah, but what is logic and knowledge compared to soaring political rhetoric for a trillion $ / per year President?
Im betting he doesn’t live for decades to come.
> we probably can make some more headway in closing loopholes that folks take advantage of.
Dependent exemptions, home mortgage deductions, oh, and the Obamacare tax increase, he’s keepin’ that.
I dunno, Mugabe's been president since 1987 and he's still around.
his friends will all be exempt of course
The second medal from the left and the one on the end like the medals Lurch threw over the White House Fence
