That’s right....all speculation based on limited evidence. Probably will be that way for awhile yet. Meanwhile International Leaders will determine how this will be framed to the public.......they don’t want any more public demonstrations and outcrys than the host going on already.

Another thing. All this discussion of missiles switching from one target to another target after launch are BS. It is theoretically possible but very very unlikely. Missiles, even those with seekers, do not look at the whole sky. The missiles sees a very small area (think looking through a soda straw). Both aircraft would have to be in that very small area for the missile to switch targets.

INdeed it is a gift and precisely what BO wanted. This is exactly why I am suspicious of the responsible party. Will we ever know the truth? What happened to the other Malaysian airliner?
Hate to say this....but, I am leaning toward an onboard bomb. Malaysia has a large population of Muslims....a good number of them terrorists. Plus they can move fairly freely between Malaysia and the Netherlands (Holland). Am still troubled by the first Malaysian aircraft loss, and Obama effectively preventing the USA aviation authorities from getting involved in the investigation of the aircraft loss incident. Remember...the aircraft a Boeing, B777, is an American made aircraft and three passengers on the ill fated aircraft were American. Obama wanted nothing to do with it!!!
My point is, the disappeared aircraft may not have crashed in the ocean...but diverted to an abandoned airport, somewhere in the Indian Ocean. The Muslim terrorists then had an aircraft to intensely study on how destroy it with a strategically placed onboard bomb. Then..a test run on another Malaysian B777, out of Amsterdam, Holland, blowing the airplane up over the Ukraine, making it look like the Russian or Ukraine military did the horrible deed!!

Malaysian Airlines MH17 plane was travelling almost the same route as Russia’s President Vladimir Putin’s jet shortly before the crash that killed 295, Interfax news agency reports citing sources.
“I can say that Putin’s plane and the Malaysian Boeing intersected at the same point and the same echelon. That was close to Warsaw on 330-m echelon at the height of 10,100 meters. The presidential jet was there at 16:21 Moscow time and the Malaysian aircraft - 15:44 Moscow time,” a source told the news agency on condition of anonymity.
“The contours of the aircrafts are similar, linear dimensions are also very similar, as for the coloring, at a quite remote distance they are almost identical”, the source added.
Flight MH17 crashed in Ukraine on a flight from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpar, and was carrying 295 people.
The flight was due to enter Russian airspace when contact was lost.

Reports at the time indicated the Iranian civilian airliner failed to use the transponder signals which indicated a civilian aircraft, which gave the USS Vincennes too little time to take alternative actions to defend against a hostile Iranian aircraft targeting the naval task force defended by the USS Vincennes.
In this case, Flight MH17 should have had a properly working transponder identifying it as a neutral civilian airliner, and the SAM launcher should have seen this civilian transponder code displayed on its targeting radar system. So, either the transponder and/or the targeting radar failed to function properly, or the SAM launcher attacked the aircraft despite the transponder identifying the aircraft as a neutral civilian airliner. My guess is the SAM launchers shot down the aircraft by wrongly assuming it was a Ukrainian military transport aircraft using a civilian transponder code.
