I was expecting maybe a King Kong sequel, or Mighty Joe Young, but instead got this screen adaptation of a Eugene ONeill play. Earlier in the year we saw William Bendix as the doomed sailor, in Lifeboat. It seems his luck hasnt changed with this role. I dont recall another Susan Hayward role where she played an unsympathetic character. The Hairy Ape is not available from Netflix, but it is on youtube. Link below.

Earlier in the year we saw William Bendix as the doomed sailor, in Lifeboat. It seems his luck hasnt changed with this role.He didn't do too well at the start of WWII either. This from a Twilight Zone pilot.
