White House blames fox for destroying Michelle’s garden
The Daily Caller ^ | 4-18-14 | Vince Coglianese

The White House is going to war with another fox — and this time, it’s personal.

The Wall Street Journal reports that a red fox has been causing chaos around the White House, tripping security alarms, digging up Michelle’s garden and distracting the president from his duties.

The Secret Service won’t give any details about how often the fox trips the White House’s obviously sophisticated security alarms, but rest assured, officials say, they’re watching.

President Obama was apparently “stunned” to see the fox roaming freely down the oft-photographed White House colonnade, home to the world’s shortest, but most dramatic, outdoor strolls.

The bushy-tailed visitor first made his appearance at the White House just before the October government shutdown, the Journal’s Carol Lee reports.

As Michelle Obama’s garden sat unattended during the shutdown, the fox “tore” through it.

Of course, that can’t stand.

The White House groundskeepers have avoided using any Second Amendment remedies to eliminate the threat to Michelle’s carrots, but they’ve reportedly laid out an array of metal traps to catch the fox — no luck so far.

When it comes to capturing the fox, WHY do I conjure images of ELMER FUDD hunting that ‘Waskly Wabbit’

IS it possibly a ‘FAUX FOX’?

Did the fox raid coincide with the shutdown?
Did the fox time the raid with the shutdown?
Did the fox sign up for oBamaScare?

Can we blame the R’s for the fox as they ALONE ‘caused’ the shut down?

If it ‘disturbed’ BO from doing his duties, was the fox on the golf course?

I don’t want to seem to skeptical but find it hardly unlikely that said fox found its way to the middle of downtown DC, not exactly a ‘forest’ with not all that many ‘wooded areas’ to disguise its quest.

Don’t suppose the Fox was planted now do you?

How can we ‘expect’ all the armed guards to ‘protect’ our pResident from Bush, Texans, Rednecks, Terrorists, Patriots etal when a FOX has been eluding them for over 6 months?

Not to be really repetitious but if it is MOOCH’s garden, what difference does it make (thanks Hill) whether the Government is shut down or not?

Even as children WE were dispatched to keep Grandpa’s garden up, whether he may have been incapacitated or not.
Of course, WE used the ‘fruits of the harvest’ from Grandpa’s garden, it didn’t exist to make Grandpa look busy or caring.

Umm, Ma’am, that wern’t no fox you saw in your Vegetable Garden. That there was what we around here call a Norweigian Rat, yes, Ma’am, I said Rat, and a pregnant one at that. Maybe come next season, you’ll take the advice of local gardeners and leave a snack for the, for the ‘foxes’. Just your greens with a light touch of Strychnine, and a Crunchy Peanut Butter chaser.

I have figured out that the FOX is the BO version of

Jimmy Carter “Killer Rabbit in the lake that attacked his row boat”

Seriously, where does a fox come from in the middle of DC? I live in the Seattle suburbs, and we have raccoons and possums and an occasional coyote, but no foxes. Maybe Castaneda’s Don Juan has the answer (to paraphrase): “That was not a fox; that was your death.”

They were supposed to look pretty and stroll around the yard since I had no flower beds at the time. They didn’t mind (stayed holed up in the barn most of the time), but I enjoyed them for 10+ years.

Who knew that foxes belonged to the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy?
We should give it an FR account.

Foxes are pretty ubiquitous but are really elegant little animals. Leave the little rascal alone I say

The least that Nevada Rancher could do would be to send Michelle O. a care package of bullshit from the two bulls that Reid ordered to be slaughtered at the Bundy Ranch.

Bullshit has always been good for growing things in the District of Corruption.

BTW, realistically, the actual least that Rancher Bundy could do to help Michelle O.’s garden is nothing.

I’ve seen rats in the DC Metro that approach the size of a kit, and given the huge rat problem there (both animal and political), I wouldn’t be surprised if you were right.

We’ve foxes in our yard, and they’ve never caused any harm. These people are ignorant.

A lady I knew had one take her small dog (she lived in base housing in Wyoming). Such things happen but foxes tend to be beneficial. They keep the rodents in check.
