It is officially a bad day for a country if it’s armed forces has to play foreign troops or defectors just to move on it’s own territory.

So is this report or the report in The Times (London) that characterized the troops in the Russian-flag-flying Ukrainian APCs as defecting to the pro-Russian side disinformation?

Whether this report is true or not I don’t know, but there is plenty of dramatic Youtube footage this morning showing locals facing off government armoured vehicles, for example:

Video is showing abandoned Ukrainian APCs by their crew and pro-Russian militia guarding them while one is driven for fun. It is sad and miserable Mussolini - like propaganda to say that desertion is "Elaborate plan to fool the enemy"

Right...sure we believe this article...it’s inconceivable that ethnic Russians in the Ukrainian military would defect to the side of the Russian separatists. Juan Graham and Little Lindsey Graham would say that would be impossible!

And to make this flop worst - those are not regular Ukrainian troops, those are Paratroopers from 25th regiment, best that Ukraine have.

If they did something like that, they'd be shot on sight if they tried to attack the protestors. It would become impossible for countries around the world to justify supporting the Kiev government.

How much military does Ukraine still have, anyway? One of the most consistantly accurate posters wrote that 2/3s of those in Crimea had defected when given the choice. And now this. What's Kiev going to do? Shoot their own soldiers?

Please, don't take us who defend the protestors as coming to the table to defend an agenda. Speaking just for myself, I was opposed to the Kiev coup from day 1 because they should've waited for that election which had already been moved forward, and figured out how to find some leaders to run a country.

So true.
But It seems that someone was afraid of election results and tried to pull coup/peoples uprising in Kiev instead. And failed.

Just ponder that this operation started yesterday, and West MSM was keeping both of their blind eyes shut- hoping that Kiev regime can mop-ups protesters. There was shooting, killed and injured people - it never happened! Not a single report.
Up until today it was “Evil Russian ninjas are invading poor Ukraine”

Today we can see people in Lada chasing government tanks and babushkas stopping paratrooper APCs...

As I was watching the news last night and again this morning, I got rather an ill feeling in my gut.

We’re watching theatre. The fix is and has been in and the sick joke is on Ukraine.

I have got the feeling that the agreement to split Ukraine was made a while back between Putin and the western powers. Sure there might be some bloodshed, but that makes for good theatre.

I hope I’m wrong.

Politicians could just say.. “OK, lets make a referendum, and just do it without bloodshed.” But nooo...

I guess that generals and presidents have to earn their wages.
