You must really miss those good old days of the “ strong man on horseback” to save us.

The only thing good to come out of Ukraine is that sweet-faced actor Anton Yeltsin who played Chekhov in the new Star Trek films. What is Ukraine to me - I could care less. The US and the EU started this mess - they’ve already lost face so now’s the time to admit it’s a mistake before US lives are lost. If US lives are lost over there, then they died for nothing.

The West has no principles, has no convictions and most importantly has no teeth. This is not the West that stood down the Soviet Union. We know it and more importantly - the Russians know it as well.

This isn't Reagan's America. Hell. This isn't even Bush's America.

Since the US War Party is already calling the Russian speakers in east Ukraine ‘storm troopers’, why don’t you just call them ‘Serbs’ and then you have your excuse to start bombing them and intervening on one side while accusing the other side of atrocities. Putin saw that work before, but he won’t let that happen again. This entire situation is a no-win for US interests. Stay home US, stay out of it.

Excellent line. I think George Will had a good on when he said that Obama takes his foreign policy from Monty Python.

Thanks prairiebreeze.
storm troopers operating under Kremlin coordination launched assaults, seizing government buildings in Donetsk, Kharkiv, Lugansk, and several smaller cities in eastern Ukraine; declared themselves to be the assemblies of independent governments; and immediately invited Russian troops to invade and annex their respective fictional statelets... They carried the outward-radiating eight-arrowed flag of Putinist ideologue Aleksandr Dugin’s fascist Eurasianist movement and shouted and displayed its slogan for the operation, “Russian Spring.”

Let’s hope those troops learned something about guerrilla warfare (asymetrical warfare), they’ll need it.

Now try to imagine how the Bundy ranch case would have played out in Russia.

Pretty close to how Waco played out, I would imagine.

I saw that #RussianSpring tag on Twitter and had to chuckle. I think they are mocking Obama’s Arab Spring fiasco.
