What would a country look like with a small government and was guided by God and the maximum freedom of its citizens? That is the country I developed in The Republic of Texas 2022, my new novel being published and now in early release. Our hero is Steven Moses who is the most powerful man in the world, but understands that the free market is where true freedom lies.

The United States has collapsed and is still in a depression state as the entire structure has disappeared and is replaced with a servant state of the United Nations. Meanwhile Texas has become the most powerful and vibrant country in the world as it is the world supplier of energy and energy related products. This draws the attention of the United Nations and its need for tax dollars which wants to force Texas to become a member country with all of the taxes and regulations necessary to join. A number of situations leads these two sides to war and then the roller coaster ride becomes intense. Who will win becomes the question you ask throughout the book.

This novel is written with suspense and imagination as you are taken places you could never imagine without the aid of an unfettered society whose primary goal is advancing itself without the shackles of socialist government or regulations. This is a deeply political book that also explains where this track of an overextended gummit is leading us and the ultimate destination of collapse and a society without rules where the local gangs have taken over the day to day society. There are no reliable city services and it becomes a feudal society with no moral compass and chaos. Conservatives, Christians and limited government types are going to love this book and Marxists will want it censored. It will be on their verboten list although they should read it for education.

The purpose of this novel is education. This is an economics lesson wrapped in a science fiction fantasy with a love story mixed in to keep the chicks reading. Steven Moses throughout the book explains how capitalism works and why it is a superior form of economics to Marxism and socialism. In debate after debate he explains in great detail how it works and has worked throughout the ages as one person decides though negotiation what any item is worth. In the end any commodity can be broken down to what one person will pay for it at any given time and that price is decided by two people every second 24/7/365. He then explains how the Texas infrastructure and government was designed to facilitate that form of economics giving every citizen of Texas the maximum opportunity to showcase his talents and efforts.

After reading this fun excursion in your imagination you will understand how basic economics works and will have an appreciation of why it is far more efficient than the economic system we are using today. It shows how unleashing mans creativity in all areas allows him to solve and improve problems such as transportation, poverty, pollution and energy. You will fly along with him in hover jets as the basic mode of transportation and on a shuttle to fly around the world at over 10,000 MPH to help transact business. You will also have some scenes dramatically tattooed on the front of your brain you will never forget. This is a fun story with lots of mental pictures that will expand your imagination placing you in scenes and places you can only dream about.

Lastly this novel is about what would happen if you gave everything over to God and did not fear man. What if all that mattered was your relationship with Jesus Christ and you were willing to give everything to him knowing he has already given you more than you deserve? What if you no longer feared losing everything including your life? This is how Steven and the Texas Ranger live their lives and are able to persevere.

People will pay twenty dollars to go on a roller coaster ride in Six Flags or Disneyland and I am offering a twenty hour roller coaster ride for the same price. Yes, you may have to give up a couple Star Bucks, but you will not be the same person after you take this ride you were when you got on it. I guarantee you will never forget some of the highs and lows you will find yourself in as you are spun around from one turn after another.

When you arrive at your destination which is not where you began you will understand more about economics than 95% of the people in America and you will be able to visualize what America could be if it incorporated these basic principles of a free market and a smaller less draconian gummit. You will be able to visit The Republic of Texas in your mind anytime you want as this book will become a classic on your shelf or your Kindle to read and escape your chains as you hop on that mental hover jet again and again. This novel will be the best $21.49 you ever invested. Get your signed copy now.

It came out in 2008.

I found their editing very lacking. I caught so many errors that their "professional" editors missed.

The audio book was a complete joke. The person who was making the recording actually burped during the recording! And let it go through! I couldn't believe it. I eventually gave up on the audio recording.

Overall nice people though and they did work to make corrections that were needed. It took a couple of "prayer meeting" type conversations to get some things done, but they did get done to my satisfaction.

Not sure if I'd use them again though.

Hope you have good luck with your book.

Another thought... Some things actually are too big for one state to do on its own. NAWAPA for instance; if that had been completed by 1975 or thereabouts as the Army Corps of Engineers recommended, there would never have been another drought in the US. Your plan should incorporate being able to somehow work with other states on projects like that one.

Sounds to me like Salgak is trying to offer some professional advice, yeah he/she is a little blunt but still if the advice is good you can only profit from listening to him/her.

No he’s not. He wanted to come on here and make sure nobody ordered any books. He said out of the gate that the book was worth $2 and anybody who pays more is a fool. He spent his entire time belittling me and my book since he has never written one himself he has to stomp on everyone else’ dreams.

I have a published book for my bucket list and there is nothing he can do to minimize that and God is in control as I found out again today. I had an absolute miracle happen to reaffirm that God is in control and not people like him.

People enjoy the book and if they want to wait six months or a year to get it for $2 they can take his advice and wait or buy some regular schlock. If they want to support me and my church they can read it now.

As for my crummy little website, it is sending as much business as I can handle and is very profitable so perhaps he doesn’t know as much as he thinks he does. So what if he knows someone who is getting 100K visits, he isn’t and 10K a month is more than most.

He is a jerk who for whatever reason is a very bitter man and enjoys stomping on people’s creation. Going through life like that is a lousy way to live. I doubt the advice is as good as he thinks it is. What a jerk.

I could care less if anyone buys or does not buy your book.

I was offering my professional advice, as the editor of over 20 books, on how to maximize sales and profits.

I said that the sweet spot for an ebook is between 2 and 7 dollars, not that your book is worth 2 bucks. At that price, a lot of people will take the chance and buy. Instead, you’re offering the ebook, in the least versatile format, via a third party, at a price that puts it into competition with best-sellers by known and established authors.

J. Random Bookreader is presented with a cornucopia of choices. But that selection is based on previous experience, author reputation, and price. Hmm, do I buy the latest Brad Thor from Amazon for $9.99, have it auto-delivered to my Kindle, and be able to access the book at any time on any platform ? Or do I try an unknown author with a publisher I’ve never dealt with before, with no guarantee of a download or future availability, for an above-market price ??

Basically, you’re marketing in an inefficient manner, and WAITING on a third party to get your ebook marketed on major sites. I will also note that the book is not available on Amazon, B&N, Booksamillion, or any other major bookseller online. You could have done that by yourself, presented your work to a MUCH larger audience, and had a lot more sales, for about 2-3 hours of extra work. Like I said, inefficient. . .

As for “buying a book to support you and your Church”, I don’t know you from Adam, and have no idea what your Church is, or what its’ tenets are. People generally buy books because they want to read them for the content, not to support an author and his Church, or any other organization or cause.

I gave you the best advice I have, you seem passionate, but unwilling to bend from what you appear to think is a Divine marketing plan. Sad to say, that sounds very much like Pride, and as we know, Pride led to the Fall.

Enjoy your life, and good luck with the book. I just think you could sell a lot more of them and make more money overall using some of the advice I gave.
