No he’s not. He wanted to come on here and make sure nobody ordered any books. He said out of the gate that the book was worth $2 and anybody who pays more is a fool. He spent his entire time belittling me and my book since he has never written one himself he has to stomp on everyone else’ dreams.

I have a published book for my bucket list and there is nothing he can do to minimize that and God is in control as I found out again today. I had an absolute miracle happen to reaffirm that God is in control and not people like him.

People enjoy the book and if they want to wait six months or a year to get it for $2 they can take his advice and wait or buy some regular schlock. If they want to support me and my church they can read it now.

As for my crummy little website, it is sending as much business as I can handle and is very profitable so perhaps he doesn’t know as much as he thinks he does. So what if he knows someone who is getting 100K visits, he isn’t and 10K a month is more than most.

He is a jerk who for whatever reason is a very bitter man and enjoys stomping on people’s creation. Going through life like that is a lousy way to live. I doubt the advice is as good as he thinks it is. What a jerk.

I could care less if anyone buys or does not buy your book.

I was offering my professional advice, as the editor of over 20 books, on how to maximize sales and profits.

I said that the sweet spot for an ebook is between 2 and 7 dollars, not that your book is worth 2 bucks. At that price, a lot of people will take the chance and buy. Instead, you’re offering the ebook, in the least versatile format, via a third party, at a price that puts it into competition with best-sellers by known and established authors.

J. Random Bookreader is presented with a cornucopia of choices. But that selection is based on previous experience, author reputation, and price. Hmm, do I buy the latest Brad Thor from Amazon for $9.99, have it auto-delivered to my Kindle, and be able to access the book at any time on any platform ? Or do I try an unknown author with a publisher I’ve never dealt with before, with no guarantee of a download or future availability, for an above-market price ??

Basically, you’re marketing in an inefficient manner, and WAITING on a third party to get your ebook marketed on major sites. I will also note that the book is not available on Amazon, B&N, Booksamillion, or any other major bookseller online. You could have done that by yourself, presented your work to a MUCH larger audience, and had a lot more sales, for about 2-3 hours of extra work. Like I said, inefficient. . .

As for “buying a book to support you and your Church”, I don’t know you from Adam, and have no idea what your Church is, or what its’ tenets are. People generally buy books because they want to read them for the content, not to support an author and his Church, or any other organization or cause.

I gave you the best advice I have, you seem passionate, but unwilling to bend from what you appear to think is a Divine marketing plan. Sad to say, that sounds very much like Pride, and as we know, Pride led to the Fall.

Enjoy your life, and good luck with the book. I just think you could sell a lot more of them and make more money overall using some of the advice I gave.
