JEB BUSH: CROSSING THE BORDER ILLEGALLY AN 'ACT OF LOVE'
Breitbart ^ | April 6, 2014

Posted on 04/06/2014 11:18:45 AM PDT by Jim Robinson

Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush discussing immigration reform on Fox News this Sunday:

"I'm going to say this and it will be on tape, and so be it. The way I look at this is someone who comes to our country because they couldn't come legally, they come to our country because their family's dad who loves their children was worried that their children didn't have food on the table, and they wanted to make sure their family was intact. And they crossed the border because they had no other means to work to be able to provide for their family. Yes, they broke the law, but it's not a felony. it's kind of -- it's a -- it's an act of love. It's an act of commitment to your family. I honestly think that's a different kind of crime that should be, there should be a price paid, but it shouldn't be -- it shouldn't rile people up that people are actually coming to this country to provide for their families. And the idea that we're not going to fix this but with with comprehensive reform ends up trapping these people, when they could make a great contribution for their own their families but also for us.

So I think we need to get beyond the harsh political rhetoric to a better place. The great number of people who come to this country come because they have no opportunities in other places. They may love their country, but they come here because they want to provide for their families. And they can make a contribution to our country if we actually organized ourselves in a better way."

Illegals should not be cowards or wimps and stay in their home country and make it better.

Mexico is an obese country. Much of Latin America is well fed. Why doesn’t Jeb spend less money on his wife’s Paris trips and more money on the world’s poor?

Colombia should consider following Mexico in imposing a tax on sugary drinks to prevent an obesity crisis, the Andean nation’s Health Minister Alejandro Gaviria said.

Of course Jeb Bush isn’t bothered by those who break the law. His own wife was caught trying to smuggle tens of thousands of dollars worth of designer dresses. I guess he thinks that’s okay because she’’s hispanic.

Why is it up to us to "organize ourselves in a better way" to accommodate a bunch of aliens who have no business here? Let them organize their own lives better back home.

Well, I may be a bit harder on illegals than some-I’m of Hispanic ancestry with a helping of native American, and my family has been ranching/living in what is now south/west Texas for about 250 years-yes, I do speak Spanish, learned at home as a child as my second language. I think you’ll find most natives of Hispanic ancestry feel the same as I do about illegals.

I’ve heard/overheard more than one female illegal say the reason she took the risk to get here with or without a husband was to get the goodies when her kid was born here. I realize there are some brought by parents illegally, but that is a different matter altogether to me-it is not their doing-but if they are under 18, they need to go back with the parents to the country of origin-if they are adults, help them out so they can get in line to be naturalized-but the illegal parents and other family still have to go back, period. I’m snobbish, I guess...

And that just tells me again that nothing will change till the money runs out, and when it does we will notice....

I would call this a “crash and burn” of the Jeb Bush candidacy, but you can’t crash if you’re not yet moving. This is a burn during engine startup.

The only ones who can dry up the money are those of us living here, and only by having the cojones to vote for those who will stick to the promise to cut off welfare to illegals and anyone convicted of a crime-I’d much rather see our tax money going to programs to assist legal immigrants learn English and get GED’s, assist the disabled with getting hired so they can support themselves, fund more charter schools so funding to unionized public schools gets cut, etc...

It's for the children

Who knew they were just here to be good parents.

I like to think that not voting for Jeb Bush is an act of love too.

So, then, if I drop my pants and waive my privates at traffic during rush hour, then would that be OK so long as I really, really LOVE the passing motorists?

I mean, I’m breaking the law, but as long as its just adults going to work, its not a felony!

Hey Jeb - if we don’t even know who these people are how do you know it’s a so-called “act of love”? Maybe many of them are terrorists. If they are so virtuous why didn’t they immigrate LEGALLY? Jeb Bush gives these illegal unknown invaders the benefit of doubt when the “guilty until proven innocent” IRS does no such thing for its own citizens.

It was felony until Congress let incidents of document fraud be allowed for illegals.

You and I can’t do any document fraud, but those from elsewhere are allowed a pass to commit document fraud.

Document fraud, tax fraud on returns for thousands of dollars.
Many falsified their documents under Reagan to show they were here when they were not.
All kinds of BS to be on some form of the dole.
Many went on disability.

If they can’t maintain 125% over poverty for 5 years and stay off the dole for 10 after they apply for residency, I want them booted.

Also allow those that are NOT second grade third world drop outs to come here.

An act of love? I didn’t realize raping my wallet via a complacent federal government was love. I guess I need to re-check my citizen butthurt status.
