Wholeheartedly agree. This sort of thread, in a nutshell, is exactly what people point to when they say that conservatives aren't pro-life, they are simply anti-abortion. This baby didn't ask for stupid parents, but it got them, and he/she deserves to be rescued if rescue is possible.

So, babies of some parents aren't worth saving? What does being liberal or conservative have to do with whether or not it is appropriate to save a child when it is possible to do so?

I’m fine with the Navy bailing them out, if only to give the blameless kids the chance their parents nearly pissed away. But it does not cost zero dollars to redirect a ship to their location.
