World Vision's American branch will no longer require its more than 1,100 employees to restrict their sexual activity to marriage between one man and one woman.
Abstinence outside of marriage remains a rule. But a policy change announced Monday [March 24] will now permit gay Christians in legal same-sex marriages to be employed at one of America's largest Christian charities.

It’s possible to sin while saved, but it isn’t anywhere as easy as to sin before being saved. The Lord would generally be chastising them to show them the unprofitability of continuing to sin. Going into one of these “gay marriages” would be almost impossible, but that’s only IMHO.

Same here but we started supporting World Vision in 1995. Our sponsored kid is 18 or 19 years-old at this point and World Vision said most are supported until age 22. This won’t work for us so I think our sponsored kid will lose our support. Damn this sucks.

There must be some way to keep it up but only until the case can get taken over by a more virtuous group. I mean, like what are they teaching these kids??
Another point about sin before and after salvation is that before salvation we didn’t necessarily know it was sin. After salvation, even though we still sin, we now know that it is a sin and call it such.
Conscience will nag, telling us the Lord wants better, even though we may not yet be up to performing at that level.
Yes, He has way with that nagging business. Sure glad I go to church every Sunday. Keeps my focus on what is important.
There are several problems with what you say.
Adultery which is a sin, is at least between man and woman.
Homosexuality is same sex, a disgusting act.

I understand sin is sin, however homosexuality is called out by name, for you apparently to say “well people commit adultery so what are we to do” is a bogus argument.

I read most of the 5 page article and just can’t reconcile what they’re saying with what I believe is true. I would hate to cut support off so I will think about this for awhile before taking any action.
It would be great if another group took over but that won’t happen anytime soon. Well, I don’t think it will.
I say that when the church takes sexual purity more seriously then it will be able to counsel homosexuals in God’s ways. And not till then. No, heterosexual sex outside marriage does NOT constitute a figure of the marriage of Christ to the church. If anything it could be a figure of how the church still sins, playing around with the devil.
You are trying to dodge that. Yes, church this means you. Where else are homosexuals going to learn godliness?

Besides the “bogus argument” is one I never made.
I’m pointing you to what Christ wants! Christ wants sinners to be converted. Well in the case of homosexuals, converted to what? If “hetero any old way” is good enough then Christ did not say what Christ said.
You got to be DOING it in order to be able to TEACH it. Does integrity count? It does to me!
