I voted for every squishy loser the GOP has nominated, even that sorry hack McCain. But then we have to put up with being blamed for the defeat because we didn’t vote or work hard enough. The problem is with people like you who continue to embrace, support, and encourage the same exact insane action over and over again, to nominate a Judas Iscariot who kneels before the Democrats, won’t fight, and stands for nothing.
I don’t have any patience with pseudo-Democrats. You are the reason we have the real thing in power. You refuse to learn from your mistakes and use projection just like the liberals do. Go away. Leave us.

Amen Catherine!
Romney won Independents.
-—Romney first to win independents big, lose election
-—”Whoever wins independent voters in Ohio, wins Ohio,” Beeson said on “Fox News Sunday,” two days before the election.
He was, of course, wrong. Romney won self-identified Independents in Ohio by a overwhelming 10 points, according to exit polls, but lost the state to President Barack Obama by 2 points.
A similar trend was seen across much of the country Romney won among Independents by 5 points, 50-45, but lost to Obama, 51-48.
-—INFOGRAPHIC: Obama Lost Independent Vote In Almost Every Swing State
The president only won the independent vote in one battleground state: North Carolina.
Things looked very different for Obama in 2008, when independent voters came out in huge numbers to support him.
Just before Election Day, the Wall Street Journal reported those polling numbers had hardly changed, with Romney overwhelmingly leading among independent voters across the country. Republican pollster Bill McInteruff told the Journal the Democrats were “really flirting with trouble if you’re losing independents by this margin.”
I tell you what....it’s definitely an experience to try and pray, and come away feeling that your prayers were rising into an empty void. It’s one I don’t recommend.
“Your gonna love this thread...”
Stir that hornet’s next.
Some of DIDN’T stay home. Some of us stayed loyal to Free Republic. And some of CONTINUE to support Free Republic every three months.
It takes time to compose and render a thoughtfull comment to a posting. I use it because I can’t afford to go into the various publications that do get posted by thoughtful contributers and appreciate their voluntary efforts.
Through the years FR’s value as a barometer of opinion sadly has greatly diminshed. Replies sometimes look like stuff done in twitter. With FR’s commenting on a subject they have little or no knowledge of tossing a dumb comment in simply because they can.
If one looks at some of the postings lately in regards to Ukraine some of them should show their home page not as Russia but as the Soviet Union. Their comments are loaded with revisionist history and Putin talking points.
Also activists don’t seem to post the commings and goings on of their favored conservative candidates as they used to. We’ve had state elections not covered or results not mentioned. Illinois just held their primary and there’s nada posted. Before and after their primary.
As far as Cain’s comments go. Thanks for posting but I can see where’s he comming from. However just because support for Romney was discouraged here .His assertion the reason Romney lost was because of this http://www.theusmat.com/
Not because FR refused to promote Romney.
I thought it was, “You can lead a horse to water, that doesn’t make it right.”
I believe the people need to let 2012 go...Its in the books, we knew what was going to happen before it did...
What needs to happen is this...Let the RiNO’s and GOP-e’s be, they know their support is dwindling, and they want as many people to bicker and fuss over the past instead of remembering, when the time comes, to toss your average moderate and feckless republicans to the street...At the very least...
The problem is no one I know of thinks their guy/gal is at fault for the ills of the republican party...
I’ve always supported firing them all, in one fatal swoop...None are above reproach...Or our vote...
I wouldn’t say this to save the republican party, not one bit...I’m saying this to save what is left of the conservative philosophy...Screw the party...The republican party leadership and elected officials (most of them) left us years ago...
Until that reality is accepted, nothing will change...Nor will it be allowed to gain a foothold in this countries politics...
In 200, I voted for Odnan the Terrible and anyone one who didn’t hates the Roman Empire.
Not even worth hittin’ it huh???
;-)
Congratulations on making the right decision for the right reason. We are accountable to God for everything, including our votes. Your conservatism does not end at the edge of your ballot, as it does for some here.
What I don’t get is why so many people register for this grass-roots conservative website and advocate for moderate, and in Romney’s case liberal, candidates.
Ping-A-Ling. You’ll love this one.
Thank you. I imagine it’s because some conservatives are like friends of mine. They believe that an “R” following a person’s name automatically makes them one of the good guys, and they don’t want to hear anything negative about them. Also, what other choice is there but to vote for whomever the GOP throws our way? /s
With Romney what would we have won? Slower growth of big government? Smaller unconstitutional mandates? More lube than the Dems would use?
I also see no good reason to hand the Senate over to the GOPe in 2014 if McConnell, McCain, Graham, et al are in charge. Nothing will change.
Look at all the replies on this thread saying the same things I and a handful of others have been saying for oh...since before the right brought the disaster on themselves. I’m extremely happy that so many people are no longer afraid to admit in public that they were wrong. It’s the first step in ensuring they do not repeat the mistake.
I already had one of my biggest sparing partners in the FR Romney wars say on a recent thread that we were right all along. So you see, people, as I said had to feel enough pain before they woke up. And the Romney fueled GOPe did provide it. It seems that there are still a few too prideful and stubborn to man up, but oh well.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I must get back to my schadenenfrued. Cuz I’m really enjoying it right now at their expense.
BaddaBOOKbump
So I understand entirely why you left this site.
Did you learn over the years how much FReepers just love the stuffin’ out of hit ‘n’ run vanity posters?
Go pound sand.
