WASHINGTON (AP) — The Hispanic National Bar Association on Wednesday said it cancelled its 2015 convention in Phoenix over legislation adding protections for people who assert their religious beliefs in refusing service to gays.

The move makes the group one of the first to pull out of Arizona because of the proposed law. President Miguel Alexander Pozo says the group views the controversy as a civil rights issue. "Laws that return us to a darker time in the nation's history simply cannot be tolerated," he said in a news release.

Guess Bozo didn’t get the news - the governor folded - no surprise - she’s a Republican.

Wonder what his macho man constituency would think of their pandering to queers?

I don’t think that lawyers are forced to accept every case that comes through the door, they get to pick and choose.

“But since then, we are all supposed to change our opinions because liberal judges tell us to do so. It doesn’t matter if we have religious beliefs about homosexuality or other behaviors. We are supposed to violate those religious beliefs to prove how liberal we are.”

Too many people opposed to it haven’t bred (or if they have, they haven’t instilled values in their offspring). Until normal people start having families again, expect the freaks to dominate the conversation; they were silenced by superior (and growing) numbers before, and now they’ve bolstered their numbers by drawing unassimilated ethnic tokens onto their side. Normal Americans have no voice in a country they are increasingly relinquishing to others demographically...

Yes, the vast majority of Hispanic immigrants come as Catholics, and remain Catholic.

“The Hispanic National Bar Association

What is that?”

When one purchases ones Bar number at Walmart on sale days, the Hispanic National Bar Association membership is included at no extra charge.

How about laws that “advance” us to a dark place? Are those to be tolerated?

Of course I do, but first I’m curious why you think that Hispanics come here as Evangelicals and JVs, do you think the Catholics from those Catholic nations, don’t come here?

I’m just saying, I live in California, and the Mexican immigrants I meet are Jehovah’s Witnesses and these Evangelical church’s that are made to look somewhat Catholic. Of course, there are 2nd generation and beyond Mexicans who are Catholic. And there must be some current immigrants who are Catholic.

Mexico is not a Catholic nation. It’s Constitution, from inception, was explicitly anti-Catholic. They didn’t change it to make it officially legal to be a priest until 1998. The PRI, the political party that most president have been for decades is explicitly anti-Catholic.
