OWENS: The feminist campaign to make weaklings of America’s warriors

Timid generals seem afraid to challenge efforts to emasculate our fighting men and objectify our women

Feminism is trying to yank the U.S. military in two directions at once. While claiming that women have no problem meeting the rigorous standards of the SEALs or infantry, advocates of opening these branches to women argue that female members of the military must be protected from the male sexual predators that, we are assured, are widely represented in the military. However, they can’t have it both ways. Are women “hear me roar” Amazons, or are they fragile flowers who must be protected from “sexual harassment,” encouraged to level the charge at the drop of the hat?

In her 2000 book, “Real Politics: At the Center of Everyday Life,” the late American political philosopher Jean Bethke Elshtain identified the two extremes of modern radical feminism: the “repressive androgynists,” who contend that there are no real differences between men and women, indeed that the idea that there are differences is an illusion fostered by a repressive patriarchy; and the “feminist victimization wing,” which paints the relations between the sexes as a continuous train of abuses by men who victimize women on a daily basis.

For two decades, these wings of feminist ideology have worked in tandem to sustain an attack on the culture of the U.S. military, culminating in the recent decision by the Pentagon to open infantry and special operations to women. In light of the argument that women are capable of performing these elite missions, it is indeed ironic that the wedge issues driving the military toward this end have come from the victimization wing, stretching from the “Tailhook” episode in 1991 to the recent moral panic over alleged rampant sexual assault in the military.

Let me be clear: There is absolutely no...

If women are equal to men when it comes to combat, then put it to the test. Take the cream of the crop of female troops and put them into one all-woman unit. Send them to the worst part of Afghanistan, and see how it works out. I think we know the answer to that.

I refuse to accept the absurd notion that there are no differences between men and women except for their role in procreation.

There are women who raise their boys to be Homosexual just to spite the Fathers, x-Husbands.
While also raising their Daughters to hate men. And Family court will do nothing about it
calling Men who disagree "Homophobic".

But that little “role” in procreation affects the entire body and every aspect—even emotions and brain development.

To claim they are the same-—and interchangeable—is the Marxist “utopian” world where their is no biological connections to a mother and father-—no “proper” “efficient” roles for man and woman although the nurture of a woman is indespensable to emotional health in human infants.

Denying uniqueness and differences in men and women denies their identity and Reality/Truth/Natural Law where Science originates. It removes that which makes them “who” they are-—male and female and creates a culture built on the Big Lie.

I love this quote: “I woke up one morning thinking about wolves and realized that wolf packs function as families. Everyone has a role, and if you act within the parameters of your role, the whole pack succeeds, and when that falls apart, so does the pack.”
Jodi Picoult

If Marxists can erase the concept in our children to “think” men and women are different-—then they can force them to believe in any of their irrational cr*p. Reason will not exist.

There is a difference, they don’t belong in the military, unless they are there for entertainment purposes.

“changing this aspect of military culture from a masculinist vision of unalloyed aggressivity to an ungendered vision.”

That 'ungendered vision' ends in the shower,

Don’t blame this on the Generals.

9 of them have been fired this year fo not complying with Obama’s idea of the military. 200 high ranking officers have been removed in the last 5 years.

I remember when the Fire Department I belonged to took in women. The news would stop around and ask the officers how the women were getting along. If they wanted a promotion they just said they were fine. This is still going on in Fire departments all over the nation. They don’t dare tell the truth if they want a promotion. Police Departments are under the same policies. They promote women up through the ranks to Chief officers who weren’t worth a tinkers damn as Indians.

Women do not belong in male jobs. Civilian or military.

Got that right. I can point out volumes of failures by implementing the naive notion the sexes are equal.

The sexes are equal in rights, not in function. Anyone who can’t see that understands neither rights nor functions.

Yep. When TommyJeff wrote "We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal", he wasn't claiming that everyone could high-jump seven feet because some of us can.

I can do 100 pushups where my old yoga instructor could do 10. And she could routinely attain positions that would cripple me for life to try even once. That's how it works. The good Lord gave us different capabilities, equal rights.

Yes, but men are getting fed up with watching their sons, fathers, brothers, and male friends get treated like this. Before long, men will unite and demand justice, and then you will see...

Oh, who am I kidding.

Government always advances the cause of equality of women under the aura of its special protection racket of women. Women tend to vote big guy big government, thus distorting the entire political process by voting for what the government tell them they need, irrespective of the balderdash about them doing their free choices and ambition.

This is language of the prostitute in denial of being pimped: she has full privacy from clients and ambitions of her own and men suporting that are good men.

Whatever.mthe glorification and embelishment of the term whore starts with feminism, and it applies to both sexes.
