Potentially Fatal ‘Knockout’ Game Targeting Strangers May be Spreading by Chris Lingebach November 16, 2013 10:40 AM
WASHINGTON - A terrifying new ‘game’ that’s already caused deaths in Syracuse, St. Louis and New Jersey is sweeping the nation, and it preys upon unsuspecting people walking the streets, anywhere.
A recent report from New York-based CBS 2 shed light on the growing trend, displaying unsettling footage of teens participating in this game – which goes by the name ‘Knockout’ – and involves randomly targeting passersby, with the ultimate goal being to knock them out with one punch as they walk by.
One victim shown in the footage was 46-year-old Ralph Santiago of Hoboken, N.J., who was found dead with his neck broken and head lodged between iron fence posts, according to NJ.com.
Video surveillance shows Santiago walking in an alleyway in broad daylight, and just as he’s about to pass a pack of teenagers, one launches the fatal, knockout blow.

Such cowards - to “prove” themselves they attack unsuspecting unarmed people walking by...well hey they wouldn’t want to confront someone who knows they are about to be attacked ...the victim might try to defend themselves....the punk could actually get hurt!
The police are corrupt as the day is long for refusing to publicly acknowledge the racial facts surrounding these vicious assaults. Games, my ass.
I predict a continual escalation of this behavior until a racist person of insufficient color pulls out a gun and kills a couple of these psychopathic animals.
We have experienced some of this in our town of 12K people. The police finally arrested some of them *after* becoming concerned that some [well deserved] vigilante justice might be coming down the pike. While our black mayor kept referring to the perps as high strung teens. One of those "teens" is his 25 year old nephew.
I don't call knocking down a 55 yo man in the parking lot, kicking the crap out of him and viciously stomping on his head the actions of "high strung teens".
As far as firearms.... firearms are retail. There are wholesale methods of dealing with problems as well.

However, I think I will take away that one cheer, because they don't mention the demographic that is causing the attacks, and who the victims are. (although you can infer it from the video)
I see that the article describes this as a “terrifying new game.”
It’s revolting and enraging to see innocent people subjected to sociopathic “games” but I’ll accept the word “terrifying” as it applies to the decline of civilized behavior and a move toward animalistic predation.
It isn’t “new” however, the media has been concealing this activity for some time and it’s beginning to become too common for them to conceal much longer.
It is not really a game unless one is a sociopath without remorse, conscience or the capacity for empathy and decency. So I think the media needs to toughen up it’s description a little. “Incurable Sociopaths Laugh While Publicly Killing Innocent Strangers” might be more efficient and accurate.

Note, an associate of my brother...went to Chattanooga back in the summer. It was right as the sun was going down...he was walking down an uncrowded street and passed two “gentlemen”. A minute later, something hit him in the rear....knocking him face forward. He kinda collapsed there. Came around maybe a minute later...the two were gone. Nothing on robbery.
They videotaped the episode and posted it.....under Washington DC.
He never reported it to the cops....that’s the sad thing. Never got it into a report or anything.
I have my own version of this game, although I have not had a chance to play it to the end yet.
When I encounter one or more "Urban Utes" I prepare to draw my CCW while they are still out of arms reach. Upon violation of my "space" I will draw and put (a minimum of) two rounds center mass in the closest "Urban Ute" and then decide if any of his friends intend to play or go away.
Racist? No, "Urban Utes" come in all colors. Could I do this in NYC, LA, DC? No, but I live in central Texas and like my chances.

You are in the 10 ring. This is nothing new. It may be new to CBS, or else it finally slipped by their PC checker. They should have been reporting these assaults for years.

Interesting contrast. I'd be willing to bet that the rate of such "game" playing varies between areas with little or no concealed carry and areas with widespread concealed carry. I'd also bet that expanding CCW would convince the players to switch to a safer game. These are bullies, i.e. sissies, and they prefer 30:1 odds against one weak and elderly person to facing even one armed person.
It will stop when word gets out that they will be shot dead by the very people they attack
(1) The initiating team must consist of at least two, but optimally five or more, players.
(2) The receiving team can only consist of one person, preferably older, smaller and weaker than any individual on the initiating team.
(3) All punches thrown by the initiating team must be sucker punches. There should be no warning and no chance for the receiving team to defend itself.
(4) The receiving team must be a complete stranger who cannot identify anyone on the initiating team.

In these incidents do they attack/knockout men only or do they attack women, old folks and kids too?
