Inconsistencies, Questions and Outright Lies in the Daisy Coleman Case
The Missouri Torch ^ | 11/6/2013 | Duane Lester

The whole world is watching Maryville, Missouri.

The Daisy Coleman case is international news.  It's a story of a girl assaulted and discarded by a privileged boy, only to be attacked by a town that rallies around a powerful, corrupt politician. But as this story unfolded, there were cracks that many weren't really talking about, either from the raw emotional response to the story or because they just didn't dare question the narrative out of fear.

While they don't disprove Daisy's story and it's possible what she claims is the truth, these cracks need to be discussed, as an entire town is being described as a "lawless Hellhole," Ground Zero of America's Rape Culture, a town that not only condones rape, but rallies around the rapists and attacks the victim.

There's more to the story. There are unasked questions, inconsistencies and downright lies that should make you question the narrative described in the media.

A Hat Trick of Lies

On October 23rd, I published Vet: "The Time Melinda Coleman Spent Working in Clinic Totaled 5 1/2 Hours."

That evening, Melinda Coleman left a comment that read, "And you didn't try to contact me."

That's a lie.

I called her cell phone, getting her voice mail three times, leaving a message once. I called via Skype. The last call lasted 16 seconds. I hung up after getting her voicemail again.

Here's a screen cap of my Skype history, taken the night she made this claim.

The one thing people seem to miss in this whole case...the girl was 14 at the time....that is statutory rape in all 57 states (even in Obama’s extra 7). Fourteen yr olds can’t legally consent to sex...even if the partner is under 18

The folks who seem so hell bent on attacking this girl and her family just proves that the politically connected boy is being covered up for

“Missouri, like most states, takes the difference in age between the partners into account when one or both of them are under the age of consent. In general, a person over the age of 14 can consent to sex with a person under the age of 21 without legal problems. Most crimes related to the age of consent in Missouri only come into play when someone over 21 has sex with someone under the age of 17.”

This was a horrible crime even if she wanted it and begged for it, because she was 14.

Except if one is passed out drunk then it’s illegal everywhere.

This guys Blog is a reprehensible string of innuendo and inconsequential inconsistencies from various newspaper third party reporters’ quotations, not actual evidence, trying to build a conspiracy out of who found the girl in the morning based on the differences between “scratches” or “thumps” on the door, whether the weather was cold enough to snow that morning, and whether her hair could be wet and frozen or not. . .

What does it matter how many hours Daidy’s mother worked at the vet clinic the day of the rape??? None at all. It is not probative about the crime at all! Yet this idiot thinks it’s somehow important data. He spends a lot of time trying to prove an harassed person received a message on Facebook from him, but didn’t call him back to explain herself in light of his accusations. I am not surprised that Melinda Coleman did not respond to this nobody journalist wanna-be with an agenda to somehow excuse the rapists and accuse the victim and her family of underhanded activities. Nope. I wouldn’t give him the time of day.

He confuses his opinion with evidence and fact.

Next question: why inflict his blog on us?

One thing that people fail to realize in this case is that being that Daisy was 14 and the boy 17, in the state of Missouri that is NOT statutory rape.

Get that straight first — it was NOT statutory rape.

As to whether it was consensual — Daisy was texting the boys and she climbed out of the window at 1:00 AM. What those texts indicate should prove interesting.

As to whether they plied her with alcohol, remember that she plied herself and her friend with alcoho that she kept in her closet before climbing out the window and going on her adventure.

Where was mom when all this was going on??? Did she ever once check on her daughter that night???
