MAYBE THE TEA PARTY WON
Yahoo! News ^ | October 18, 2013 | Richard Reeves

Posted on 10/18/2013 7:55:59 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Perhaps those tea party guys are smarter than they look. After all, these men and women in Congress came to Washington determined to cripple big government -- or even destroy it. They, 30 or 40 bent Republicans, were mad as hell at where the country is going and how it is governed. Now, with a minimum of sabotage, millions and millions of Americans, Republicans and Democrats alike, share their hatred of Washington.

It is discouraging for someone who writes about politics to see and hear the outrage and even hate that is voiced when anyone brings up the subject of the government shutdown, or Congress, or the White House or anybody or anything in the nation's capital. Isn't that what the tea party provocateurs want? They hate government, and they want you to hate it, too.

Anti-government populism has always been a thread in the fabric of American life. Until the tea party nihilists, the latest manifestation had been President Reagan's inaugural address, when he repeated his old line, "Government is not the solution; it's the problem."

Despite his rhetoric, Reagan never governed as if he believed that crap. He was a compromiser when he had to be, he understood what "loyal opposition" meant and, like most politicians, he was not really against the government or big government. He just wanted big government that did what he wanted it to do....

Forget about changing the ‘Redskins’ team name. What is way more dishonorable is naming DC after George Washington. He was totally anti-big government yet modern Washington, DC is totally opposite of what this great man stood for.

The fact is, Obama’s economic policies are responsible for millions on welfare and unemployment, which is why Dems can’t stop spending. Maybe some GOP storied this, but I didn’t see it. This downward spiral won’t stop until the economy is freed up, a’ la Reagan. Gonna be a tough few years.

2nd Div— the liberals let the world know whom they fear the most by their strident commentary. Lest we forget the Taxed Enough Already (they seem to forget this is what the letters stand for) party is on the upswing. It is correct to identify the elitist ruling class as the enemy of Americans and of the Constitution. Simply put it is beyond party politics, no matter how hard both sides work to preserve the other. Witness the actions of the Bush family to reach out to the Clintons— honestly there is no “country club” to which they both belong that would agree. This is simply ruling class— by people who think they are better than any and all regular Americans of any background— other than Progressive Ivy League libs/rinos.

Reeves seems rather interested in himself. Me? I don’t give a damn what he thinks. F him. And McCain. And Graham. And Pelosi. And especially Harry The Whisperer Reid. The list goes on and you can include “W” Bush and anyone else that is so sick they think pushing this country in to trillions of dollars in debt makes sense.

These people are mentally ill and the Democrats are being led by an extremely mean America hater who is so mentally unbalanced he spits on the greatest generation ever and $hits on brave kids who are warring in places they should not be.

Cruz and Co. simply pointed out that Washington needs to be flushed or rebooted. The place is populated by lunatics who insanely circle jerk each other with sick maniacal vigor as they straight faced offer up the most absurd of the absurd as normal.

A cancerous poison of biblical proportion has set itself upon the US and it appears no amount of chemo will have any effect on this flesh eating bacteria that is Washington District of Columbia.

God help us all and especially generations to come.

Don’t worry. In his third term, he’ll rename it Obamagrad.

“After all, these men and women in Congress came to Washington determined to cripple big government — or even destroy it. They, 30 or 40 bent Republicans”

This clown is so clueless. He has no concept on what the Tea Party is and stands for. For one thing I (individual Tea Party person) believe the government is to big, bloated and inefficient. I want that sucker scaled back so we get the most bang for out tax dollar. I also believe it has become way to intrusive and is not following the Constitution.

I also do not want the power brokers in Washington calling all the shots. We think the grass roots should have input. That is why we don’t like RINO’s. They think Washington knows best. Can I say McCain is the poster boy for what is wrong with the Republican Party. Go Ted Cruz, Mike Lee and Sarah Palin.

Although the idea of secession is always a good Plan B.

Not a bad Plan A either.

Comments? I don’t agree with his statements. The Tea Party doesn’t hate government and the goal was not to get people pissed off at government. The Tea Party hates mismanagement and excessive debt. The goal was to draw attention to these problems particularly ObamaCare.

I don’t think 20 or 30 guys can do much about it and I don’t think they could get through the wall of communist-style propaganda leveled against them. In the end even Cruz let the Senate vote on a bill laden with $2B in pork. Then the feds borrows $328B in a single day.

This seedy incident reveals how bad off this country really is. There is no effective way to stop them until the Tea Party has more votes.

“belongs to the democrats”

I heard from a true, actual communist agitator that obamacare is actually a republican plan. Basically our complaints are based on our own plan.

He telegraphed the next play, obviously blame the republicans and promote the true democrat solution: single payer as introduced by president Hillary.

These people believe this. It was truly amazing to witness the frightening departure from reality.

If this isn’t gold plated Leftist ideology, nothing is.

1. Lefists come up with plans that do not adhere to the U. S. Constitution
2. If Constitutionalists disagree, they’re called anarchists.
3. If the plans are implemented and fail miserably, you blame those who opposed their implementation.
4. Rinse and repeat...

No Richard Reeves, the Tea Party did not win. But neither did William Wallace in the 1305. But today, he is remembered as a hero to freedom loving people over the world.
I wonder just how pResident Obama will be remembered in 800 years. 80 year? 8 Years?
My hopes and prayers are that Sarah Palin and Ted Cruz are remembered in a similar way that Sir William Wallace is.
