John McCain calls Louie Gohmert a dummy
The Daily Caller ^ | 10-17-2013 | Jamie Weinstein

Posted on 10/17/2013 5:37:03 AM PDT by servo1969

John McCain took a swipe at Texas Republican Rep. Louie Gohmert in an interview with NBC’s Brian Williams Wednesday night.

During the interview, Williams brought up a statement Gohmert made last week at the Values Voter Summit claiming that the Republican Arizona senator supports al Qaida. Speaking at an event at the conservative conference, Gohmert referred to McCain as a “guy who’s been to Syria and supported al Qaida and rebels.”

McCain told Williams that it isn’t worth responding to someone who “has no intelligence.”

“Sometimes… comments like that are made out of malice, but if someone has no intelligence I don’t view it as being a malicious statement,” McCain said. “You know, you can’t respond to that kind of thing.”

A request for comment from Gohmert’s office was not immediately returned.

The only ‘dummy’ in the room is John McCain or rather maybe the word should be progressive with a propensity towards supporting tyranny.

The GOP has three very big problems

1. Too many in party leadership still support world policing even when there are not clear national interests at stake. Syria nor Libya before had a clear national interest where as at least with Afghanistan and Iraq you could make a credible case with Syria, Libya, Somalia & Yugoslavia there was never a national interest. They also support wide ranging violations of personal freedom/privacy as if any risk justifies any level of personal violation whether it be recording and tracking everything a person does without a warrant.

2. Too many of these same leaders don’t see the powers of the federal government as limited in any real way. Their main disagreement is centered in that they are not in power not that the constitution is being violated or personal liberty is being shredded.

3. Too many see K-Street as the source from which they get their marching orders. If the big billionaires and millionaires want what is equivalent to slave labor then they are all ready to give it too them even if it will dilute the economic power and voting power of America citizens in the process. I would not be surprised if it was not a part of the goal of progressive GOP to do exactly that to make irrelevant those pesky conservatives/libertarians who resist so strongly their progressive big daddy politics.

There are other points of contention but we have an increasing disconnect with these guys like McCain.

“DEFUND the GOP.”

As of yesterday, that’s the ONLY ALTERNATIVE. Give whatever would have gone to the RNC, NRSC, and/or the NRCC to Tea Party groups, individual candidates who can be relied on, the Heritage Foundation, and other conservative groups and organizations. The GOP has become dead to me and I was a lifelong Republican who never voted for a DemonCrap.

"This man is crazier than a shit house rat."

As suggested yesterday, one of the true tests of a 'rat is his ability to engage in shameless (self) projection.

I’ve never seen people so happy to NOT be in charge.

The ONLY reason I voted for that POS was one Sarah Palin. What a complete asshole.

I agree in principle. Maybe not a brain tumor, but I suspect McCain has medical problems upstairs. He seems more belligerent and obnoxious than usual, these days.

He has a deep seeded personality anger problem that he cannot control....my guess is severe mental disease, or the tumor thing.

He got shot down once. The other three planes he lost were his fault.

I do think it's Gohmert's talking that throws some people off. The shallow, snobbish and small thinkers usually judge by such methods. Gohmert's background and accomplishments show that he's no dummy. Gohmert certainly doesn't go along to get along or take foolish positions like McCain. McCain is just small man with lots of money that has used his office to stuff his pride for far too long.

McCain is well known in DC for his constant anger.

He also just insulted a man who does not give a damn what John McCain thinks of him.

That old man needs to get off the stage. His time is passed.

Are there any Dems that go on these stupid shows and call their fellow dems names?

John, you are close to acting like Jane Fonda.

Gohmert referred to McCain as a “guy who’s been to Syria and supported al Qaida and rebels.”

Which is correct. And don’t forget about Libya.

And you are so smart John, you hired a liar who padded her Resume calling herself a PhD, an Obama voter, for your AZ DC office. You are calling Gohmert a dummy?

He just loves the attention and giving his fellow Americans the finger.

My bro was also on the Oriskany and has said this a thousand times about McCain. That he wasn’t ready to fly, had his dad pull strings, got cleared and promptly crashed out. Proof that the SCUM Also Rises...

Don’t be fooled by the Texas talk. Gohmert is far smarter than McLame.

I agree completely. Louie's voice may remind one of Gomer Pyle, but a Gomer Pyle he is not. Louie is very intelligent with more common sense than most politicians. You do not have to worry whether Louie will cave and not do the right thing for the Country.
