In an interview with Politico, Senator Harry Reid argued that the media is being unfair to Democrats in its coverage of the shutdown. Reid said he believes that there is no way someone viewing the situation objectively could conclude that Democrats are at fault for the shutdown.
“You and other journalists have a real shortcoming in that you are trying so hard to be fair that you are unfair,” Reid said. “Democrats have had almost nothing to do with the problems here. It’s all Republicans.”
The shutdown of about 15 percent of government activity began last Tuesday. Since then, Reid has led a unified Democratic caucus in the Senate against any compromise bills passed by the House, much to the frustration of House Republicans. Reid has even turned down meeting with Republicans to discuss a compromise.
Media Research Center, a conservative media-watchdog group, found that in 39 stories in the two weeks leading to the shutdown, CBS, ABC, and NBC blamed Republicans 21 times for failing to reach a budget agreement, both parties four times, and didn’t once blame the Democrats. In the 14 other instances, the reports blamed nobody.
Reality is unfair to Democrats.

Sounds like cracks are developing among the Democrats.
Harry has never been one to let facts get in his way. Reality is whatever Harry says it is.
Indeed, reality does not favor liberal/humanist ideology.
So the cracks are forming when we see them stop blaming Republicans and start eating their own ?
Give all of the ‘rats a pass and just stick it to Dingy and Zer0.
The Democrats passed their communist health care without one single Republican vote, and even had to buy some votes (for example, the “Cornhusker Kickback”) and use bullying tactics for others, then passed the final version into law in a sneaky manner (necessitated by the special election of Scott Brown) using the filibuster-proof “reconciliation process”.
In other words, the rats used every weapon at their disposal to force Mengelecare down America’s throat.
And now the rats and their newsrooms are upset that a (twice: 2010 & 2012) duly-elected GOP House is using the one weapon it has at its disposal to try to undo the damage Obamacare is doing to the nation?? Gimme a freaking break.
You know the Democrats have an indefensible position when the Establishment that overwhelmingly endorsed them and finds payback office work within the administration has found ANYTHING critical to say of their lord and master.
STFU Reid, you and all of your democrat ilk OWN this! It’s ALL YOUR FAULT!
This from the clown whose Senate has failed to present a budget for 5 years, the passage of which would eliminate this whole continuing resolution/government shutdown charade.
Oh, and by the way, it’s the law of the land (a constitutional requirement) that Dingy and his boys present a budget annually.
The Commiecrats have a virtual monopoly on the TV and print media. Maybe all their lies are finally catching up with the commies and their lapdog media.
I am trying to raise kids in this environment.
These people, the democrats, BO and the progressive or corrupt republicans are making it very difficult to do so properly.
My kids pay attention to the news.
THese people are so deep into their dishonesty they are plain silly.
But they are powerful
THe kids say they are scared, sometimes. They’v figured out that most of the people in Washington making these decisions do not care about what it does to kids.
And the kids know most of their peers are urged to be addicted especially to media and games, so they won’t pay attention.
But Harry Reid saying this is not even worthy behavior of a neighborhood cranky man outside raking leaves and spewing this nonsense for children to hear.
The kids are watching. And they know the cover up that is going on and mostly directed at them from whom the democrats are taking.
And it is scary
It is past time to start boycotting Las Vegas and Reno, until those controlling those cities and casinos get rid of Reid.
