We FReepers all know that nobamacare is a disaster waiting to happen on the way to single-payer.
IMHO, the delay should be nine months. That gives plenty of time (July-November) for Americans to experience this mess before the mid-term elections. Delaying it a year only gives a month for this experience.
It appears the Senate made a mistake and need to think again... send the bill back in the original form with that note attached.
Delay is caving. Repeal the stupid law.
Forced cry baby’s hand. He fears to lose his prestigious position as House Leader.
Want a sneak peak into what 0’care will be like. Damaged Care available from both Netfix and Amazon.
A peek into the monster that is 0’care.
Damaged Care, story of the HMO’s.
Available on Netflix too.
It is absolutely the wrong move.
Ted Cruz is a hero. This Obamacare crime instrument is nothing but another way to shaft the middle class. The non-productive underclass will have government support for their healthcare, paid for by our taxes, while those of us who make too much for that subsidy will have our healthcare rates rise by almost, or more than 70% in many cases, and have fewer doctors to choose from. Look at what’s happened to grocery prices—since so many out there have food stamps they aren’t concerned about price and the rest of us pay the taxes to provide the food stamps and pay for the jacked up food prices as well. Oh yeah, and when our kids go to college their tuition is up %100, and if they try to get a job during or after college the wages they make won’t even begin to pay for gas, insurance and rent, let alone health insurance. The girls are better off just having babies so they can qualify for benefits, and the boys are totally lost. Obama’s buddies, meanwhile, are becoming richer than rich with the aid of the Bond markets, benefiting from all the money being printed which will eventually devalue our money so much we’ll lose our status as the reserve currency. Obama and his class will all be on their private islands by then.
I heard some government lame brain today on FOX bemoaning the fact that the parks and museums would be closed if there was a govt. shut down. Really—who gives a sh!t! Our country is going down the drain, and our kids will be left slaves to the debt we are incurring, with no hope for lives anywhere near as good as ours have been. That’s if we aren’t invaded by the Islamists or Russians by then. We are in a dangerous position, and all these idiots can talk about is how bad it will be to shut down the Smithsonian.
“This would not be happening if not for the efforts of Ted Cruz.”
Ted Cruz ain’t in the House, yeah, those 19 votes in the senate and Cruz’s actions really are what have influenced all this, forget that the House defunded it in the first place.
Truth be told, this would not be happening without the efforts of John Boehner or the actions in the House of Representatives before the milk toast Senate got it.
Boehner is not always popular, I don’t care for some of his stances myself but credit where credit is due and this also goes to all of the other Representatives in the House who have steadily rejected the health care.
Truth be told, if the House acted like the Senate, Obamacare would be a done deal.
What would be the repercussions of this? Anyone willing to do an in-depth analysis of political impact ala 2014?
How about defund and repeal. Short of that, no exemptions. Not Congress, not the pResident, Not the Courts.
NO ONE GETS OUT OF IT!
NOT SCHUMER, DURBAN, MCCAIN, REID, PELOSI, OBAMA, ROBERTS, NO ONE!
I thought the Rat Party (formerly the traditional, patriotic Democratic Party) wanted a delay so they and their MSM could keep the truth from the 2014 elections.
“......OR WE WILL SHUT IT DOWN”
Sure you will, you betcha, sure you will.
Hey Obama, call their bluff!!! You already drew a red-line...are you going to chicken out?
anything that throws a monkey wrench into obamacare is a good thing.
i’m sending an attaboy to boehner and co for this.
I agree. I have to admit I am impressed with Boehner, but especially with Cruz. Actually, I am more shocked in regards to Boehner.
On one hand, since patriots have shown themselves to be “fire fighters” and not “fire preventers” when it comes to using their voting muscle to stop the growth of unconstitutionally big federal government, voters getting burned by the Obamacare tax may be the only way to get them off of their couches to vote the socialists out of the government.
Otherwise, the GOP needs to delay Obamacare indefinitely until the states amend the Constitution to grant Congress the specific power that it needs to regulate, tax and spend for public healthcare purposes in the first place.
Yeah — just delay it long enough to get the Dems through the next election.
Throw those Dems into the briar patch.
