Vanity- Draft Tom Delay for the Senate!

Posted on 09/28/2013 7:32:08 AM PDT by TexasBarak

Since John Cornyn voted for cloture (I haven't seen definite news on this, so someone correct me if I'm wrong) despite the expressed wishes of his constituents- and there is still time to file to run against him in a primary....

Since Tom Delay no longer has the cloud of political prosecution hanging over his head....

Let's ask Tom Delay to file in the primary against John Cornyn so that we can have *two* articulate, conservative, and *effective* senators from Texas!

Yes, Cornyn did vote for cloture. I won’t be voting for him. Had enough of the games he and his fellow GOProgressives play with us.

Anyway, I think the deadline for filing is in early December, so if people are going to step up, it needs to be soon.

Filing is usually c. Dec. 31 of the year before the primary in TX. Sometimes maybe Jan. 2 or 3. Right now, people like Cornyn, and no one will oppose him.

I am so anti-Cornyn now that I will skip his name in November 2012 (as I did Hutchison in 2006) and will vote for a suitable independent if one is on the ballot. Right now though, people in TX think Cornyn is conservative.

Gohmert would be hesitant to give up a “safe” House seat to be crushed in a primary by the legion of Cornyn supporters who think Cornyn is “conservative”.

Cornyn joined the entire Democrat body in jamming 0bamacare down our throats while he, his family and staff get a Cadillac plan paid for by you and I!!

Thats the bottom line! Good luck Texas. We need ya!

But, after the way he was vilified and falsely accused, why would he even entertain the idea to even associate with those back stabbing clowns? I’d like him to run too so we’ll just have to see.

Just looked it up. John Cornyn’s term is up Jan. 2015. He has to run next year (if he is going to.)

I like the idea of DeLay. He has nothing to lose by getting out there and speaking up. It would also be great inspiration to people who fear being ruined by whatever.

Better to keep the constitutional conservatives in the HOR. One steps down and the RINO fake 'pubs will try to infiltrate.

The Hammer, part 2. He’s pissed off.

The trouble is that his opponents will use his past troubles against him. The attacks will be unrelenting. Never mind the issues. The ad campaigns will focus solely on his past. The low information voter will eat it up. They won’t care about the real issues.

If he does run, he had better have a great (not good) campaign manager and a relentless PR staff. He has to focus the voters on what’s important.

Vanity- Draft Tom Delay for the Senate!

Why? Do they need help organizing their lobbyist money? K Street payments slowed down?
