Where the heck are you? Carcar city or further south?
Thanks, I sometimes forget that my public school geography is often deficient.
You should always be able to get the image link from “properties” or similar after right clicking on the picture. Sorry, I didn’t look at the site other than the picture.
They did say Palawan was even better before all the recent development, but you can still find plenty of secluded areas if you explore.
Nur Misuari entered the coastal area of Zamboaga>>>>>>>>>
And so if we can get the Saudis to supply Misuri with sarin gas, and get him to accidentally set it off in Zamboanga, then John McCain,John Kerry and Barak Oblama will want to bomb Zamboanga?
Sounds like Pete and re-Pete.
“Where the heck are you? Carcar city or further south?”

Yes, about one hour south of Carcar, in Dalaguete, the vegetable
capital of Cebu, and home to Osmena peak, the highest mountain on Cebu, 3100 ft. While I live on the beach, Osmena is only several miles away, but in the same municipality.
Over the years, my wife’s family has lost three men fighting the Moslems down south, and about another half dozen to terrorist activities from the Communist rebels who inhabit the mountain up behind her childhood home.
The local barrio and even her family is infiltrated by the Communists, When she goes to the province to visit now, she tells only one of her sisters, who then announces her arrival at the last minute, and she stays no longer than three hours. I don’t go at all.
My wife, a nurse, is a prime target for kidnapping by the Communists, who need someone with her skills up in their camps. The fact that she lives in America, married to an American, and with that American being a physician, makes her a very attractive target for extortion. Indeed, several years ago we got word they were looking to kidnap one of her sisters to extort ransom from us. My wife, after much discussion, followed my suggestion that under NO circumstances would we pay a dime, and suggested that her sisters spread that word around, and also provide for their own protection: They did, no one was kidnapped, and we never heard another word about it.
“This is Mindanao, the known bad place for Christians.”

Yes, but only the far west of Mindanao. It is a very large island, and does have nice areas. Davao city, the largest, in the East, is modern and safe. I understand that there is some great white water rafting on Mindanao.
It’s kind of like a certain island in the Caribbean — Dominican Republic in the east and Haiti in the west.
Are you of Philippine ancestry yourself? Here, in the Tri-Cities area, we suddenly have quite an influx of Philippine-trained physicians. I have been seen by three of them myself.
Very sorry to hear of your wife’s family’s losses but sounds like you handled the kidnapping threat correctly.
Zamboanga is in the far south...most Americans retire to Manila in the north, or to Cebu, in the center of the country, where there are few Muslims.
Here, in the north, the main problem are the communists, or the politicians shooting their rivals.
I believe the first battles between U. S. Army units and organized Muslim guerilla forces occurred in the Phillipines, ca. 1902 (?).
I hope Syria is not the second.
Strict gun control
I’m buying a condo there in Makati. My brother got married in Cebu and all the expats there live like kings. One of the Americans we met told me drove a cab in brooklyn for 30 years and he bought a house for 50 grand near the beach close to a very well known resort.
The raghead problem is centered in the South and coincidentally, that’s where a US Spec Ops base is located.
Muslims are on the warpath everywhere
That is Zamboanga province in western Mindanao. I have spent time in eastern Mindanao, where the muzzies know their place. The few that are there, are afraid to bother anyone, because no one puts up with any crap from them. I walked right up on them. They said nothing to me. They get out of line, and they might end up in the Gulf. The Mayor is really hard on those dirt bags.
No, just a White guy. Thanks for your condolences for my wife’s family.
First time I ever went there to meet her family, they proudly showed me the latest copy of the local paper sitting on the living room table, with the headline that an extortion ring had just been broken up by police. They showed it me to put my mind at ease. It did just the opposite! This was back when the kid from California had just his head cut off on Palawan after the State Department refused his parents’ request to help them pay the $10M ransom being demanded by his kidnappers (if I recall the details correctly).
My brother in law was gunned down by some corrupt cops in the Philippines. He was testifying against a group of cops that would walk into people’s homes with m-80’s and steal anything they wanted. Shake down street vendors and local businesses, and running drugs.
It is safe if you are American. If you are poor and trying to defend your dignity, you will be in dead.
Maybe you should learn more about the Philippines.
The cops are criminal syndicates in the Philippines. If you don’t know this, you don’t know shit about the Philippines.
Bump for my asawa to read
