(CNSNews.com) - Why shouldn't women in the military have the same opportunities as men do? Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel asked on Thursday. It's not a matter of lowering standards, he said.
In remarks at Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska, Hagel was asked how he feels about putting females on the front lines of combat -- "based on our social background of men being the protectors of women," as the questioner put it.
Hagel's reponse:
First, I think everyone understands, and this is the right thing, we can't lower standards. We have high standards. We should have high standards. Our country has high standards. Our military has always had higher standards. And we need to keep those standards. And so it's not a matter of lowering standards to assist women to get into combat positions -- women don't want that, you wouldn't want that -- and I think to find the right balance of implementation to allow women to move into these new opportunities and new positions if they want, if they're qualified, if they can do the job.
And why shouldn't they have those opportunities? Why shouldn't they have the same opportunities as men do on these?

Hey, Hagel- make female combat units, totally separate from male units. No overlap. Separate training regimes. Get your female qualified AB/Ranger/Inf units from female qualified instructors. Start whole new programs, since you want to show how “gender equality is the new line of conformity, by standard.” Every other new program in the DOD, first, has to prove itself- testworthy. Prove it, Nebraska boy- I dare ya.
Was that barry I saw on your cheerleading squad?
Was he/she the one with the flat chest? I understand he/she rode a bicycle at half time to amuse the fans.
Typically not a single woman in the world could pass the elite training tho maybe every decade a single one might do it.
For instance Jackie Joyner-Kersee went over 24 feet in the long jump. That is good even for an elite man tho the mens record is over 30 feet.
Let's ALSO level the playing field in the NFL and get women into the game. /s
That-—and normalizing men killing women for the NWO-—
the Christian nations put women on a pedestal-—and created Chivalry and the Romance period—which gave women more freedom and dignity than in any other culture and respect for the role of wife and motherhood, understanding the importance for transmission of culture and instilling individuality in children (vs. collectivism/day care/forced Prussian schools).
This is to destroy the worldview of children so they see women as interchangeable with men (radical egalitarianism/Marxism) and the homosexualization will continue as “respect” for women has to disappear when “the same” as men. Actually, resentment will result because women are NOT the same and will be a drain and not able to “carry” their own weight. Resentment (Marxism) will result, until we are back to the Ancient Civilizations (or muslim one) where sexes were segregated and women were nothing but breeders and cattle-—men will use other men and boys for their entertainment and recreation because of the immaturity-—inability to appreciate the “other” since thy are really no different than men except weak and worthless when compared on the battlefield.
A couple of days ago, CBS news had the General in charge of all special forces.
He made a statement which was a dead giveaway that standards are going way down.
He said something like, “We will have to rethink the role of special forces, away from the Rambo image etc.
We typically had very attractive females (in a slightly trashy way), but, jokes aside, there was a “no dating players allowed” policy in both cities I played, which was strictly enforced.
Moreover, despite my jokes, there was a huge contingent of predatory females that stalked players looking to get pregant or scream rape or just get in the news, so I was always very, very careful.
Well, it could mean "squat" from now on. (That's what the men will have to do if they need to urinate on the battlefield--gotta make it "equal" for everyone.)
Sure. Just as high as 75% of the women can pass, that's our high standard.
Ditto all the comments above, about "who would you rather have catching your back ....?" That is exactly right and exactly the point.
Hagel is doing doubletalk and political b.s. "Political rhetoric" it used to be called in polite venues ... and something else out behind the icehouse.
When it comes to women in combat, when they develop armored battlesuits (think Japanese Anime) then give me a call. Until then, hell no.
Also, my opinion on women in combat soured in 1991 when my unit was deployed to DS1. A certain female Captain didn’t want to go, got knocked up, and got a pregnancy waiver. When we got back, she was persona-non-Grata.
Why doesnt Chuck Hagel have the same opportunities to serve in combat? Send him to Afghanistan.”
I agree. But make sure that his commanding officer and roommate is a female.
Actually I think we should send Hillary to Benghazi and let her serve in the Embassy there. Maybe Rice can go with her and be her security guard.
So far nobody wondered why Hagel wasn’t asked that key question before advise and consent. Remember the guys who voted for this clown make sure you send them a thank you card when one is captured or killed in the line of duty.
Interesting. Now I know how Colon Powel made it. LOL
I agree with your take on it.
It’s crystal clear.
This is great as long as the military is voluntary. Most women are not strong, but some are. If military service ever becomes mandatory and IF men and women are treated equally w/o regard to strength, I see AWOL and dead people. They want to make serving in the military mandatory (for socialist, NWO indoctrination). If the Bamster launches WWIII out of the chaos he has created in the Middle East...
GraceG I apologize but I didn’t understand your point clearly. Would you mind clarifying. I’d like to respond on point.
LOZ...
That is how you know it is pretty much all crappola, they will never do it. Lets form a few all woman combat units and see how they do. Seems to me to be the obvious thing to do. You know, pure field testing.
