This is a prayer thread for Mesta. I've been on the phone with her for hours today/yesterday (my sense of time is getting a little frassled), and we need a great amount of prayer.
Mesta went down hard a few days ago, I was on the phone when it happened and I heard her hit the floor and scream, then a bunch of running, slamming doors and chaos before the line went dead.
It was a couple of days before I was able to get her status and got my proper links to her hospital, and it doesn't look good. If she survives this time, she's going home to a cold house, at the edge of eviction, dragging an oxygen tank. She has a sort of a seal-team medical coverage, but no pension whatsoever. As for now, they're still doing tests, there's a team of doctors working on her and she's in and out of consciousness much of the time.

Just damn. I’ve seen this news on several threads now. I hope word gets to Mesta just what kind of outpouring is happening for her.

May God embrace Mesta with special care and love and protect her in every way. I pray she feels His comforting and safe presence at all times.

You saw what I saw earlier and now ... One of our best is down ... Dang. Asked her to take a break ... she didn’t listen ... Dang It. I should have insisted. I must move to the corner and collect myself. Dang this bad news.
I’ve just spoken to her, and she’s very, very thankful for the prayers. Still touch-and-go, but I’m optimistic.
Thank you for the post. FReepers can suddenly stop posting and no one knows what’s become of them. I will add my prayers to those already offered.
Mesta stands out to me as one of the most civil of all FReepers. My experience has been that she is strong in her convictions but uses persuasion and coaxing to convert those on the other side of the issue. I have never seen her resort to name calling that happens all too easily (and has happened once or twice with me, regrettably). She seems a kind and gentle soul. God bless her and if it is His will, bring her through this and all her challenges with strength.

Very civil. I always told her she’s the one who should be doing the talking, she’s the sane one of us. I used to be rather an insufferable sh*thead of a zealot and still can be, but not remotely like the old days. You learn with age.
Anyway, she’s very touched by the Freeper’s concern.
