“the safest place you could be.”... Unless you have a dog that he can shoot.
Not sure how I feel about this. It’s good Denny’s came around, but why should cops be treated better than I. Denny’s wouldn’t be apologizing to me if they booted me, and I ain’t never shot a dog in my life, or an unarmed citizen because “he made a threatening move toward his waistband.”
I hope the employee was put on the “Pull him over if he farts” list by the PD.
That was quick, Only took two posts to mention dog-shooting.
Strange reaction coming from the police in Illinois. They feel it’s a slap in their face even though they weren’t in uniform. However, I suspect they don’t support conceal weapon permits.
Think of how stupid it is to complain about an armed policeman having lunch in an eatery.
What would those same whiners say about an armed robber?;
Would they complain to the manager? To the robbers’ union? To the robber’s mommy?
How utterly stupid, puerile, idiotic and childish.
IMHO
My bud is a police officer, and due to his work, he simply can’t speak what’s on his mind. The worst people hands down he’s come across, are these limp-wristed liberals.
Welcome to the party, pal!
Now you know how John Q Gun-owner feels when exercising his Constitutional RIGHT to keep and bear arms in public.
If any Denny’s in Houston tried that crap, they would be out of business overnight.
If I owned a retail business that was open at 3 a.m. I would definitely cultivate the local cops.
More Guns, Less Crime.
Wonder what happened to the idiot manager?
Second Amendment should apply to everyone. I don’t think government employees deserve extra freedoms
They should have made them put the “Southern Slam” back on the menu!
I just heard the response from the Denny’s manager on the local Chicago radio on my drive home from the office. He pretty much said that 5 officers dressed as civilians wearing heavy winter coats came and sat down in the restaurant. A concerned customer saw that they were armed and alerted the manager. The manager (not knowing they were police officers)told the men that they needed to leave. The police identified themselves as officers and the manager simply asked if it was okay if they would leave their weapons in the car. The cops flipped out, got all indignant at the manager and customers and stormed out.
Sounds to me like the cops were acting like a bunch of cry babies and the manager was doing his job. It scares me to think that these “men” are trusted with weapons and badges when they cannot even act civilized in a Denny’s...
Thats the way I feel about it. I love eating in a restaurant where there’s a cop. You know nothing is going to happen.
