MOBILE, Alabama -- The fatal gun shot that cut down a single mother of two Saturday night occurred in front of her teenage daughter, family members said today.
The daughter, who asked that her name not be used, said she was standing in her front yard when her mother, Wendy Fisher, ran across the street to retrieve their dog.
Fisher yelled at a passing car to slow down because it nearly hit the pet, the daughter said. At that point a black man with short hair got out of the car, she said.
The daughter said she is not sure if he or one of the two or three other men inside the vehicle fired 3 shots. The man who exited the car was wearing blue jeans and a light T-shirt, she said.

What a wild leap in logic.
Owning the dog was not the problem.
Yelling at the wrong person was the problem.
The results should convince you that yelling at strangers in a known tough neighborhood is not the smart thing to do.
I have done the same thing. I was lucky, not smart.
No, it is not a crime. But lots of things that are legal are not smart.

The question is whether Zimmerman by his behavior caused Martin to think that he was about to be mugged or worse.
So let me get this straight. You feel that you are going to get mugged so you mug the other guy to keep from getting mugged yourself. That makes sense to you.

Never happened -- the vehicle was parked, Martin saw that he was being watched and ran away. Watching someone is not a crime and neither is running, though it is suspicious as the NEN operator indicated that night.
Martin is a street guy who sees all the signs of a beat down so he goes on the offensive.
That makes him the aggressor, the instigator, the offendor, the bad guy right there by your own admission.
Zimmerman is not a hero.
He's not a murderer either.He's an average guy who was getting the sh*t beat out of him by a thug and defended himself the only way he could.
He is a guy who did a very dumb thing.
Yeh -- he should have let the thug beat him to death and choke the life out of him so he didn't have to face murder charges.
Had he stayed in the vehicle and waited for the cops none of this would have happened.
Had he stayed in bed ... had he stayed home ... had he had another bag of chips ....
The NEN dispatcher told him to watch the suspicious person and tell her what he is doing, and when he runs the dispatcher asks him which way he is running and where is he going??? Doesn't sound to me like the dispatcher is saying just sit there in your car and be a good little boy and hide under a blanket til help arrives.
Most states make it clear that to claim self defense you must not have instigated the violence.
You just admitted that Martin instigated the fight because he thought he was going to get mugged??? Do you really feel that is a valid reason to mug another person???? Do you know anything about the law???
So the question in court will be whether Zimmerman by his behavior caused Martin to feel threatened.
Obviously sitting in his vehicle and watching made TM feel threatened. Police cars going by make thugs feel threatened, So are they justified in attacking the police car.???
Zimmerman is 5'7" short slow obese who can't run 50 feet without being winded. Martin was 6'2" lean mean fast fighting machine. Do you really think Zimmerman wanted a confrontation with him???
Yet Martin's girlfriend says that Martin had run home, and then turned around and went back to confront Zimmerman. Why did he do that if he was so frightened???
The facts are that Martin started the fight with the first punch, continued the punching even when he had his muggee on the ground at a disadvantage, would not stop his assault even when his muggee was calling out for help, even to the point of putting his hands over his mouth to keep him from breathing, and would not stop until he was shot.
Those are the facts from the evidence and eyewitness testimony.

You know that one: If only she had stayed in her house then all this would not have happened. But instead Wendy came out of her house after her dog, and yelled at me, and I felt fearful for my life, and so had to turn around, back up and shoot her three times.
Or should they blame the murder on the dog??

I am only pointing out that two, read carefully, TWO stupid people met with bad results.
One has paid the price. The other will in a different way.
Z’s price will be that he will tortured emotionally and financially, maybe for years, by the legal system.

He didn't "play cop" by any account. Following someone on a public street isn't illegal. For all TM knew, he wanted to ask him for a joint. GZ never "confronted" TM, only the other way around.
What is illegal is punching someone and then bashing his head against concrete. If you do that and then get shot, tough.
All the actual evidence so far support GZ's story, we'll see how that holds up during the trial - that is if O'Mara does a halfway decent job.
And pretty soon after he walks away, the cops will arrive and arrest you for a felony.
If convicted you won't own any more guns legally for the rest of your life.
I hope you have better judgement than that if the situation arises - you actually don't sound like someone who should have a concealed carry permit.

If Zimmerman could predict the future, I am sure he would not have left his vehicle. Since he couldn’t predict the future, checking out a suspicious character is neither bad judgment or in any way racist.
I have been on both sides of this transaction (checking and being checked out by a local) several times and because neither of us was a hot head or a predator, the conversations always ended with, “y’all have a nice evening.” Not with an assault and a gunshot.
If found guilty, should the daughter of the murdered woman have the option to sentence the perp’s mother? Of course not, but if it were a legal option, there would probably be less criminal spawn.
