Rasmussen: Conservative Anger Against Obamacare Hitting 'Stratospheric Levels'
Newsmax ^ | 7/2/12 | Paul Scicchitano and Kathleen Walter

Conservative interest in the presidential election hit “stratospheric levels” following last week’s Supreme Court ruling upholding Obamacare, noted pollster and author Scott Rasmussen tells Newsmax.TV.

“All that did was energize conservatives,” declared Rasmussen in an exclusive interview on Monday. “The conservative interest in the election was already much higher than that of moderates and liberals. It went up to really stratospheric levels right after the ruling. We don’t know if that will continue or if it’s just a temporary response to the news cycle.”

I was the same way. I didn’t want Romney. He more than likely isn’t the answer but he is the vehicle to fire that son of a b$tch in the White house.

This way, if anything, we can vote away his damn plane and 4 million dollar vacations.

Wish I had your faith in what Roberts was supposedly trying to do. At first I thought it was a chess game, too, but then thought that was being entirely too optimistic.

I.m from England and understand what health care is about over there and to put it in basic terms IT FRIGGING SUCKS.

Every fool I meet who supports this health care has no concept what so ever about what they are in for and since living here and understanding America, how it was fonded and the constitution then I can safely say that many in fact most are complete dumb stupid thick idiots .

You speak only the truth!

I refused to vote for Romney in the primaries, but will vote for him in the general.

All down ballots will be honest conservatives!

It’s reality, simple reality.

It doesn’t matter at all how I feel about it, or anyone else for that matter.

And your idea of going to war is to vote for Romney. Wow.
_______________________________

We have to start somewhere and right now, it’s Obama or Romney. What else do you want people to do? A vote for Gary Johnson or Ron Paul isn’t going to help anything.

At least if we can replace Obama, it’s a step in the right direction. Yes, we need to work on winning the Senate and keeping the House too but Obama needs to go.

I’m curious why people accept an edict from a Supreme Court jesters who violated their oaths, re-wrote law in clear violation of the Consitution. Then it’s claimed as “well it’s the law” or “it’s Constitutional.”

Why is it Constitutional? Because they say it is? So if they said no more free speech at any Presidential speaking event you obey? No you don’t. And America doesn’t tax you because you simply exist. A mandated tax on everyone for not buying something is contrary to everything this country was founded on. There is no compromise on this issue. It needs to be met with defiance, ridicule and resistance, and it will be, when people get their wind back from the surprised swift kick to the stomach after the court’s ruling. The Constitution Declaration of Independance require anyone who loves liberty to resist this tyranny.

And people better understand that conflict, actual human toll and bloodshed are now inevitable. The Rubicon has been crossed. Doesn’t matter if it’s an event that happens soon for civil disobedience or years from now when guns are banned for the public welfare because of health costs. Tyranny will now be even more fast-tracked, this is all by design by these globalists, RINO’s, liberal fascists, commies, etc. They know what they are doing with their puppet Zero. And the drunk with power nutjobs who deem themselves gods are illusioned enough to do this ignoring 2 huge very bad realities from the get-go:

a) Over half the population of this country didn’t want Zerocare; b) they should have banned the 2nd Amendment when they had the chance.

Perhaps he is every bit the scoundrel as many posters on FR and elsewhere are convinced. But I appreciate your delay in condemning what Roberts has done in this matter. We simply don’t know yet how this all plays out; but we will know for sure within a fairly short passage of time.

Thanks for your level-headed post.

Romney in 2009 was taking trips to the White Hut to help construct Zero-care. He’s on video stating he’s for mandated healthcare. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y6DrH6P9OC0&feature=player_embedded

Now the mantra is “vote for me, I’ll repeal it.” More political games when this is about THE RULE OF LAW. What is Romney’s healthcare plan? He won’t really talk about it. He won’t even call Zero out for the treasonous marxist corrupt slug he is.

Romney, the RINO boy favorite is a liar, another fraud, a globalist, and now instead of the muzzie cult allegiance like Zero, we get the mormon cult.

Put another name on the list.

People are way beyond “angry.” They feel that something terrible is happening to the country.

Our “news outlets” are absolutely disgusting. Anyone who believes they are “reporting the news” is under a very dangerous misapprehension. We can’t count on them to be anything but shills for Obama. Too bad we can’t count all the money they spend on the network news operations as direct contributions to the Obama campaign.

And I do not have a great deal of faith in the future of this country, unless a lot of people wake up, and fast! Some foreign press outlets get it. A “Kenyan-born” author, whose first book reads just like the prose of a known radical with a violent past and whose second book reads nothing like the first, just happens to “luck out” when both his primary and general election senate opponents are derailed by allegations contained in sealed, but leaked or otherwise obtained documents. The man has a murky background and past that are altered when circumstances require it, and no one in the media bats an eye. I didn’t attach a lot of importance to his grandmother dying (and his frantic trip out to her, in Hawaii) just before the election, and poo-pooed notions that Andrew Breitbart’s death was anything other than a heart attack. Mark Levin’s desire never to touch the constitutional issues surrounding Obama’s eligibility, even to explain them away, raised my suspicions though, but still not a lot.

But Justice Roberts’ apparent last-minute turn is more than enough to get me really, really worried! I can’t even write down the possibilities of what could take place before the election, especially if the economy, and Obama’s numbers, continue to go south.

I don’t even want to think about a second term for him right now.

Angry? People have no idea! But we have to realize that there are still a lot of people who believe that “the Republicans have been trying to block everything Obama wanted to do to help us,” “he saved us from a depression and is still cleaning up Bush’s mess” or “what’s wrong with guaranteed health care?” We have to get the facts out.

At this rate, I don’t even have confidence that America will have a fair election in November, or that Romney and the Republicans will listen to the will of the people even if they win in a landslide.

The “elites” are against the people who make this country work, and the former may have enough stupid, lazy and/or envious folks voting for them to cement their power.

Am I giving up? No. I will work to do my part. But I also realize that nations become corrupt and decadent. I am preparing myself and my family as best I can for future possibilities. We will either do what is necessary to restore America, or things will continue to spiral down. Either way, it will be painful. I am ashamed that so many Americans allowed the present “government” to damage, and possibly destroy, what our ancestors and military worked, bled, and died for.

We are in deeep trouble. I feel like there are no rules anymore. I hesitate to say this, but even the September 11 attacks, by an outside foreign force, was not as much of a threat to the foundation of our country as recent avents have been.

My family and my faith comfort me. I will do my best. But I may find it difficult to enjoy the 4th of July celebrations this year.

I believe that, in the end, God will remember the people who have been faithful, and visit upon the wicked what they have visited on others.

But we have to do our part. I am praying for wisdom and courage.

“I’m gonna vote my conscience and go with Romney. I guess a lot of freepers will be voting their consciences too and going 3rd party.”
Well put.

I am in the latter category. Will NOT pull a lever for Romney. But I appreciate the recognition that this is a decision of conscience - as is yours.

Hank

"Three birds, one stone. Judge Roberts was playing chess at a high level, while Obama and the democrats, and the press, were all playing checkers, and weren't ready for the "unexpected" ruling."

You said, "'playing chess at a high level', then perhaps you play using only the rooks."

IMHO - Roberts was playing Obamanopoly - (Not smart enough for chess).....and trying to cozy up to the the Guards at the "Jail" - that he knew we were all heading for:

The commerce clause will no longer serve as an easy excuse for creating more government programs.

Where did you get that idea?? From Faux news and bag-of-wind Oreilly??

Mark Levin and other legal scholars have explained in very great detail that the Commerce Clause HAS NOT BEEN TOUCHED AT ALL.

We are all white-hot angry. Nothing upsets me more than Freepers assuming there is any good in what Robert's did. IT IS ALL BAD.

Levin explained that it will take many decades to reverse the precedent set by the evil Roberts.

Just on today's show, Mark Levin stated that Roberts tried to convince Kennedy to switch sides and vote 6-3 to utterly crush the Constitution The italics are almost a direct quote from Levin.

Again to repeat Roberts is an evil human being who's decision will cause untold misery to millions of Americans.

No one can teach the GOP anything for they are UNTEACHABLE! Instead of kicking POS LIBERAL romney to the curb - they DELIBERATED embraced him/evil. So don’t worry no one isn’t doing anything to teach them anything - they are a looong lost cause and evil to the core with the blood of America on their hands who FOUGHT for our Constitution and one nation under God. The GOP prefers one nation under evil.

They don’t represent our forefathers, PATRIOTS, like NEWT and Gov. Palin or all like conservatives.
