A general election vote is NOT an affirmative endorsement of a candidate, it is a choice between the only candidates that have any chance of winning and taking power. It will almost ALWAYS be a decision between the proverbial "lesser of 2 evils". In primaries you will sometimes have a real opportunity to vote your conscience, in general elections that may happen very rarely - especially at the national level.
Geeze, I'd hate to see what some of you people would do if you lived in a liberal city or state where ALL the candidates suck ALL of the time. There are actually some conservatives that have to pick the least awful option EVERY election cycle. Yet they don't pout, whine and cry, they act like a grown-up and vote for the least bad alternative.

My principles won't allow me to do anything that helps Obama get a second term or Mitt Romney a first term. You vote your principles and I'll vote mine. At least I won't have to apologize for Romney (if he wins and he is quickly revealed for the liberal he is) or Obama (since I didn't vote for him and my vote doesn't make any difference in my solid red state). I will vote down-the-ticket for people who will thwart the plans of Obama/Romney (which are basically the same).
Before you vote for Romney, please take a good long hard look at him. While I see nothing at all good in a second Obama term, the fear about it in conservative circles borders on hysterical and irrational. Emotionally-driven decisions are seldom good decisions. I have seen a few analyses now which plausibly make the point that, from a conservative point of view, Romney could be worse than Obama.
It shows the classic signs of Black Propaganda. That is trying to hurt your enemy by making it seem it’s coming from the enemies own side. Black Propaganda also attempts to make your enemies seem crazy. This is accomplished by infiltrating agent provocateurs among them. Thus these liberal plants will engage in extremist behavior in order to discredit conservatives. The crazier they sound, the more it helps the enemy.
