Alabama forced to keep convicted felon because U.S. won't recognize homeland

He’s a man without a country.

An immigrant in Alabama who has been arrested 35 times in 12 years cannot be extradited because the United States does not recognize his homeland, the Birmingham News reports.

According to the paper, federal authorities have tried to remove convicted felon Sofyan Eldani, 45, but couldn’t send him to his native Palestine because the U.S. does not recognize it as a country. Eldani says he is a native of Palestine, though he carries an Egyptian passport.

Eldani's arrests include assault, fraudulent checks, criminal mischief, resisting arrests, reckless endangerment, shoplifting, burglary, drug possession, failure to appear, probation violation, possession of a drug paraphernalia and DUI.

He has at least nine convictions, including four felonies, and served six months in an Alabama prison for receiving stolen property. His most recent arrest was for allegedly being found with crack cocaine during a traffic stop, according to the Birmingham News.

Ridiculous!
After 9-11 FBI went all over the country rounding up muslims and deporting them - I knew some Palestinians they got and deported `em from California SF Bay area after there was a meeting in a grocery store they were observing...They abandoned the grocery store and took off ...Many took off on their own back to Gaza.

Deportation is really simple. Just take him to JFK and put him on an Egyptian Airline flight to Cairo. Tell them if they don’t take him back you will suspend their landing rights. End of story. Trouble is we have no one with any b.... left in the USG or State Dept..or Homeland Security..a few bull dykes but no b....

He belongs back in Egypt.

Yup. Libs hate rendition and waterboarding because it works and makes terrorists suffer. When criminals and terrorists suffer, libtards throw a hissy fit and get their panties in a twist.

Why not send him to Egypt?

Because then Obama can't politicize this situation in favor of recognizing Palestine?

"Sofyan Eldani was previously detained by ICE and ordered removed to Egypt. ICE made a travel document request to Egypt. Mr. Eldani made travel document requests to Egypt, Israel and Kuwait," the statement read. "When authorities in those countries declined to provide the appropriate travel documents to facilitate Mr. Eldani's removal, he was released from ICE custody due to the Supreme Court's ruling in Zadvydas v. Davis." "The Zadvydas decision generally allows ICE to detain aliens who are subject to a final order of removal only for a period of time deemed reasonably necessary to effectuate their removal. ICE makes every possible effort to remove all final-order aliens within a reasonable period, which the Supreme Court has determined is 180 days. After that period, if the actual removal cannot occur within the reasonably foreseeable future, ICE must release the alien."

Why not deport felonious African nationals? They may have been born here, however they do NOT like the USA, and claim dual nationalities! They refuse to behave civilized, they don’t belong here, all they do is cause death and destruction, and drain resources.

Send him to Syria, then. Or just take him over there and push him out of the plane. Wherever he lands, they’re stuck with him.

Alabama should threaten to let him go if the US doesn’t extradite him. Watch how fast the policy will change.

Why isn’t he in prison?
