PHILADELPHIA (AP) — I thought my son would be much older before I had to tell him about the Black Male Code. He's only 12, still sleeping with stuffed animals, still afraid of the dark. But after the Trayvon Martin tragedy, I needed to explain to my child that soon people might be afraid of him.
We were in the car on the way to school when a story about Martin came on the radio. "The guy who killed him should get arrested. The dead guy was unarmed!" my son said after hearing that neighborhood watch captain George Zimmerman had claimed self-defense in the shooting in Sanford, Fla.
We listened to the rest of the story, describing how Zimmerman had spotted Martin, who was 17, walking home from the store on a rainy night, the hood of his sweatshirt pulled over his head. When it was over, I turned off the radio and told my son about the rules he needs to follow to avoid becoming another Trayvon Martin — a black male who Zimmerman assumed was "suspicious" and "up to no good."
As I explained it, the Code goes like this:

Too bad he didn’t teach Treyvon not to punch people in the nose and beat them on the ground.
Almost word for word what I tell my sons:

I had a conversation like that with my ten year old son:
“Boy, don’t start a fight with someone, because they may have a gun.”
I believe he’ll take that to heart and I feel better now.

As I explained it, the Code goes like this:

Please don’t assume, son, that all black people view you as a threat. America is better than that. Suspicion and bitterness can imprison you. But as a white male, you must go above and beyond to show strangers what type of person you really are.

Its a good article. In it the author tells his son to be respectful, not go looking for a fight, and to submit (basically) to authority figures. Its good advice.

My entire life, I have had to fear going into “certain areas.” Couldn’t enjoy freely roaming ANYWHERE in our society, because, well, people who went into these areas got attacked, shot, their cars vandalized, raped ....you name, it. By BLACKS!!!
And whites. And by people of pretty much any race, but MOSTLY in black areas.
They’ve terroized society for decades. We’ve poured BILLIONS into them to be educated, to take care of them because they can’t take care of themselves ... and paid out our butts to get them to be civilized. It’s improving at a snail’s pace ....and yet now THEY are the victims???
They can F off. I’ve had it up to here with their victim mentality. I hope this turns into riots, and I REALLY hope some of these types get finished off in whatever “trouble” they decide to stir up.
Sorry, just really pissed and absolutely SICK of these poeple and their advocates in this society. They just refuse to let up — they want us to either “pay” them off, or they want to “spread the wealth,” or they want to terrorize society with all of their racial rioting GARBAGE. They want to drag this society down to their level and will NEVER be happy unless everyone else around them is as miserable and downtrodden as they are.

Dead on, even though black people are a small minority nationwide the likelihood of a black person being killed by a white person (Zimmerman is not white, he is multiracial “Hispanic”) is far, far smaller than the chance of a white person being killed by a black person. Also, Geraldo is right about one thing, even though I hate to admit it, wearing a hoody in Florida in March is absurd, also walking around with your pants down all the way to your crotch and your undershorts showing, (not that Martin was, but I see it all too often and sometimes it is white clowns doing it) is utterly disrespectful to all around you, anyone doing so should expect only contempt, although of course it does not justify a violent attack. This whole rash of coverage of one killing picked from many that have happened during the same time period originates from one thing. It is an attempt to claim that a white man who happens to have a concealed carry permit has killed a black child (note that all the pictures of Martin are from years back, he is actually much larger and more mature than they are showing) in cold blood for absolutely no reason. About the only thing that is true is that Zimmerman IS a holder of a concealed carry permit.
Do you know what time of night the incident occurred?
Would you stand there and let someone run up on you and under the authority of just having a firearm treat you any old kind of way and not attempt to defend yourself?

Zimmerman had as much right to follow Trayvon as Trayvon had to walk wherever he wanted around the complex.
It is likely, though I have no proof, that after Trayvon questions Zimmerman, then Zimmerman questions back—Trayvon threw the first punch or shoved.
Zimmerman knew the police were on the way, it doesn’t make sense he would have shoved or hit Trayvon.
If Trayvon was frightened of Zimmerman following him, Trayvon could have called 911, he had a phone on him. He didn’t.
Why didn't Martin simple run to his house and call the cops.
A lot of people are saying Zimmerman did this and that. What did Martin do and what didn't he do.
The point is that it is NOT A BLACK CODE
It is life!

I think you need to read a few more articles about what "really happened" in the incident. It is a tragedy that the 17 year old is dead. FACT. The police report and the eye witnesses will testify in the trial if it ever gets that far. This will not be tried in the press, except in the minds of the MSM and the turkeys who are trying to promoted race hatred for political causes.
There is evidence that Zimmerman was on his back with Treyvon beating him before he pulled the gun and shot him. The 17 year old is not as pictured in the media, he was 6'2" tall and weighed 160 lbs. This will eventually be revealed, but the Dems, MSM and race pimps are playing this to the hilt.

Don't assume white folks are prepared to fight you, they grew up without a chip on their shoulder.
Don't try to take possessions away from white folks. They have this notion that they deserve to hang on to it because they worked for it.
Don't be the first to punch a white guy. They believe in not hurting others because they wouldn't like it.
Why would I write this? Because I grew up in a mixed-race poor neighborhood. As a kid, I had black punks jump me and steal my stuff, like basketballs and bikes. I got jumped and beat up by black punks. Despite that, many of my friends were blacks, including my next-door neighbors and neighbors across the street. My best friend in high school was a black guy. But some black punks are raised plain bad. I got the snot kicked out of me back then, but as an adult it won't happen again without a fight. I also believe in the right to bear arms, and use them in the preservation of my family and self. So blacks should beware, if it's a nasty summer, non-blacks are not going to just take it anymore.

If Hollywood/media didn’t present black kids as ‘thug life’ being ‘cool’, (Thug life including ‘Da Hood’, bustin capZ drugs, crime, pimps hos, shooting cops, ectectectect) then 1: an insane number of black kids might not adopt that philosophythat it was cool and become a part of it and 2: White people wouldn’t be fed a steady diet of the Hollywood version in real life.
Lets face it, all humans learn by repitition. If we see this on TV movies, magazines, music et all, and go out our door to see the very same thing, is it such a shock that non black people are wary?

I have been shopping with my son and watched him get the up and down look and a sneer from some black people.
My son who has no tats, no piercings and usually dresses in jeans a tee or a collared knit shirt with tennis shoes but he a slick bald head.
He started losing his hair by the time he was 16 and I agree with him, it looks better shaved. The fringe wrap around makes him look much older and the fringe is what is noticed before anything.
If this race stuff gets whipped up too much more— I will be begging him to go with the fringe look.
At some point the Black Male Code ought to be amended to include: Grow the Hell Up, Get the Hell Out, and GET A JOB!

I think there is a lot of truth to that. I remember the late 60s when I was in college. Even though there we some lingering emotions from the times of segregation, people seemed to be striving to know each other, or at least to tolerate if not appreciate.
I felt that we were right on the cups of becoming a color blind than, and looking back, I still do. But then something happened and it all went backwards at the hands of the race pimps. Sharpton, Jackson were big parts of it along with the likes of Maxine Waters, Sheila Jackson-Lee and many others who fueled the flames of hatred in order to profit for themselves.
What they did to their own people and our nation as a whole is a disgrace. Instead of making things better Barack Obama has made things worse. He talks sweet, but I sense a bitterness in his heart.

I, however, want to know why there aren’t the similar “lynch mobs” in Oklahoma where a black punk beat an elderly couple and raped the wife.
