I’m nervous and I have absolutely no control over the situation other than prayer.

RT @FloridaJayhawk: Low Turnout in Parts of Broward County = Bad For Mitt! Just reported on WIOD #tcot #twisters #WithNewt

And, from a political standpoint (as opposed to philosophical/ethical one), that's Romney's problem. Few are enthusiastic about him to actually bother to go and vote. It's why he consistently under-performs his polling -- it's one thing to say "yeah, sure, Romney, I guess" from your barc-o-lounger, but it's another thing entirely to drag yourself down to a polling station if you simply don't care that much.

Gingrich, Paul, and likely even Santorum... their voters will show up (well, maybe not the Paul voters if they get the munchies).

I know you can only do so much, but let this be a lesson to others who concern themselves with what a candidate “looks like,” and their “family man” status.

We must mainly be concerned about the issues and what a conservative candidate stands FOR and AGAINST, and how their beliefs will affect the Constitution, our freedom and our liberty. We are not looking for a perfect being to win this election...no such thing. Newt is the kind of spokesman We The People need...he can stand up, speak out and duke it out the the socialist/communist/marxist/revolutionary/muslim sharia law sympathizer and WIN!

Newt AND Calista make a winning appearance, he is articulate and tells it like it is, and he has the experience AND ability to fight with aholes like oboma. I don't care about his family history....I only care about how he will work to save this country from socialist/communist takeover and the destruction of our life as we know it, our Constitution, freedom and liberty.

GO NEWT GO! You are our best bet to date....it may take baby steps to bring this country BACK, so let us start with Newt and WIN this damn war!

Anybody have any reports about the volume of early voting? I would ask about past trends, but that’s dependent on the competitiveness of the races, and this one is the most hotly contested in a while.

I posted this on another thread, but from my unscientific poll conducted by standing at a polling place in Brevard county (that's the Space Coast, for you yankees) waving a NEWT! sign, about 2/3 of the cars pulling in gave me a thumbs up I was the only "waver" there, but the Obamney and Santorum folks had stuck signs in the ground - probably last night. Romney's were carefully placed on both sides of the Newt signs so you couldn't see them -- at least until I arrived at 6 am and moved Newt out from the plastic sandwich.

The thumbs up looked good, except there were not huge lines of voters, so...

One of my former students sent me an email with the phrase, "Impossibility is an Illusion" Keep that thought when you listen to MSM telling us it is over for conservatives. When we win here (please, G-d) I may make that my tag line.

I know there are lots of trivial people in this world (like the Freepette who posted that she wouldn’t vote for Newt because of his weight and because he wasn’t handsome...) and lots of home-schooling moms who think they’re voting for altar boy of the month.

Gingrich is gambling it all on people listening to him, listening to his ideas, and listening to his solutions. I hope he hasn’t overestimated the American people, including the conservatives population.

Good for you. I voted this a.m. and the Romney campaign (I don’t think he really has “supporters,” per se) had obviously been busy staking out the margins of the precincts with a row of Romney signs.

There weren’t a lot of Gingrich signs to be had, unfortunately, and I actually haven’t seen any here (St Augustine) although I know there are supporters - real ones! - here.

LOL, ZX12R!(Your name is hard to type)

I just got a four paragraph response to my Reince Priebus letter(sent a copy to a district GOP chair) begging me to reconsider. He loves Romney and says that to not vote for him is to reelect Bam.
I wrote back and suffice it to say, I’m still in fightin’ mode.
Basically I told him that if Hussein is reelected(which I believe that he will be if Romnuts is the nominee), it’ll not be the fault of those like me who are standing up for our principles..but rather due to the GOP-E who are too weak to vet and find a good candidate and the in the tank media like Drudge.

From the first time I saw Romney, I saw a guy with flop sweat on his brow, his eyes darting all over the place to see if the suckers were buying what he was selling, his rapid fire speech pattern like some fast-talkng shyster, and his lies.

Mitt is struggling to keep up the facade of acting like a Conservative.

I have a 'visual' of a plastic Mitt doll melting & dripping. Time is NOT his friend .... thus the effort to give the voters the bum rush (SC) before they could catch on and stop him. Newt has already done the country a great service by throwing a cog in the Romney Sleaze Machine and hopefully, he will come through FL in decent enough shape to keep on going. Newt spoiled the Grand Plan - no wonder Romney hates Newt and is determined to not just defeat but destroy him. Romney will lose a lot of votes for that, too.

Rush just had a point(after just saying that Romney is not pro abortion).
If the votes for Newt and Santorum total more than Rom’s(only IF), then that means that a consolidation of Conservatives would have pushed one of them over the top.

In that case, THANKS ALOT RICK. We won’t forget what you did. :-(

I think Rick’s helped Newt more than he hurt him. Rick’s the one who tore Mitt a new one in the last debate. He’s the one who got Obamacare back on the table. If he hurt anyone, it’s Mitt. In fact I read where Mitt was glad Rick was in to split the vote (though they say that’s not even true) but he hates Rick in because Rick gets him on the ropes.

THANK YOU, JLAGRAYFOX!

Everyone, George Washington lost many a battle until he WON the war. Do not let those fallen soldiers of wars past, who DIED so that we may have freedom and liberty, have done so for NOTHING!

Get out the vote for NEWT, our best bet to win this damn war against socialist/commie oboma. No one and nothing is perfect. Newt has the ability to crush oboma with his ability to articulate what he, Newt, stands for and his love for this country, our Constitution and our freedom and liberty.

Remember what your relatives and friends fought for during wars past, and how they paid for their beliefs in this country and our Constitution with their greatest sacrifice a soldier can make. WE are the soldiers of this war, with the boot of oboma on our soil AND our necks, and we MUST fight and WIN this war for our future, and that of our children, grandchildren, for this great country of ours, warts and all, ‘cause who doesn't have em’.

Please everyone, get out the vote for Newt. May God bless America.

“Watch the live results on cfnews13. Polls close at 7pm.”

EASTERN TIME.

Never forget what Big Media tried to do to Florida in November 2000.

They ran with “polls closed” “results” to try to keep Central Time Florida voters away.

FU Big Media!!!!

That may be true, but the premature call of FL for Al Gore is said to have cost GWB thousands of votes as people who were standing in line to vote for him left the polling places when they heard that Gore had “won”. The whole FL fiasco might never have happened.

Newt is out to win and we need to get the vote out so WE can win. You take your chances when you run for office. Let’s win this for Newt, ourselves and the United States of America.
