Some folks simply need a baseball bat upside the head.
There is no constitutional difference between an arbitrary ban on ammunition and any other infringement on our 2nd Amendment rights.

Oh hell...that means more New Jersians will be moving down here...

I can see their new car tags...instead of "The Garden State", it will be "The UNArmed State"...(criminals welcome).

The 2nd Amendment protects arms, not “guns”. Arms includes ammunition.

I was just at a local sporting goods store this afternoon, looking at a S&W M&P 15-22, and the owners said they’re already gearing up for the next run on guns and ammo. Legislation like this won’t help — better get it while you can.

There are very few cartridges that have NOT been chambered in T/C Contender and Encore handguns.

There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What's there in that for anyone? But just pass the kinds of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced nor objectively interpreted - and you create a nation of lawbreakers - and then you cash in on guilt. Now that's the system, Mr. Rearden, that's the game, and once you understand it, you'll be much easier to deal with.

Yeah, I'm beginning to think that we need to ban all yankees, Califreaks and other Westcoasters from the South. If they want to screw up their own states let them, just don't bring that crap down here.

We need to put signs on our state borders: "This is Texas, libtards need not apply (we've already got enough of them)."

Americans are idiots if the cannot see that the communists are overthrowing our Constitutional promise of the right to protect ourselves. The entire Democrat machine are communists with many RINOs. Stop pulling punches before it is too late and we will never come back.

I have a better idea than all of these -

let’s make crime illegal.

Yeah, I'm sure that, as long as we can maintain at least 4 conservatives and Kennedy in the court, this would absolutely fail the constitutionality test. It violates the intent of the 2nd amendment as clearly as any gun ban does. . . BUT . . . NJ residents had better wake up and NJ gun owners had better get active as hell or NJ will find a way to make life even more miserable for you.

Heck, it was while we were living in NJ (64-68) that my parents gave me my first rifle. And a couple of us kids always had BB guns. It's amazing what a few decades of liberalism can do to a state.

I don’t understand the problem with armor piercing rounds.

After all, what if I need to kill someone wearing body armor?

Another reason I am happy I left Jersey.

Apparently, the legislature feels that they must move to ban ammunition before the ammunition moves to ban them; an irrational fear, but...one they obviously entertain. Among the virtual plethora of things they fail to realize is that a move to ban ammunition — far from preempting a move of ammunition banning the legislature — may well trigger it. In this way, in their overreach, they actually make construct the one foundation upon which their formerly-irrational fear may become dreadful reality.

It’s like watching an old monster movie, and there’s that moment when the girl hears a weird noise, and the wannabe hero dude grabs a flashlight and heads off into the darkness to find out what it was.

You don’t have to be Cecil B. deMille to write the next scene; it’s comin’ atcha like an express freight train; high-ball with lights and horns blaring.

If the Jersey State legislature were all Muslims, we’d observe that they were setting themselves up to be martyred for a more insidious cause.

I say to my Jersey FReinds, “Don’t get incited to take their bait!” Keep mum, wait, and give ‘em both barrels at the ballot box. THAT’S kickin’ it old school.

From the esteemed

The assemblywoman cited the clash between busness and environmental interests as the main battle zone.

“Business and economics are oftentimes not on the same page with the environment, and people on the economic side are trying to create opportunities at the expense of the environment,” she said. “Our charge is to explore how our economic opportunities can complement and enhance the environment.

“I’m not for overdevelopment,” the new chair added. “In our own little way we are affecting climate change with overdevelopment and losing our open spaces. We need to be creating more green spaces.”
