I'm officially endorsing Newt Gingrich for president today. Was going to wait until after Florida, but see no reason to delay. We need Newt to win in South Carolina and Florida to stop any possible momentum building up for the establishment big government, statist, abortionist RINO!!

Newt Gingrich may not be a pissed off as I am, but I think he is everybit as crafty, tactical, experienced and intelligent as I am.

I think you may be my twin! We were separated at birth; remember?

Anyone who’s listened to Glenns radio show for more than a year or two, knows that he’s had Huntsman Sr on several times. He’s also stated that he’s one of his ( Beck’s ) mentors.

He’s also stated that Huntsman has donated millions and millions to cancer research.

So,this part is not news.

However, it *is* news *to me* at least, that Huntsman family biz is intertwined with Bain, Romney’s former biz and that they are related.

Links please ? Sounds like interesting reading.

Do you know anything about a Mormon being in charge before there can be a second coming?

- - - - -
I know many Mormons who believe this but nailing down anything as official LDS doctrine (even if it is in their books, their prophets teach it, members believe it) can be a hairy proposition. That said, some Mormons will deny their church teaches this, but there is good evedince that they do not know their own church’s teachings as well as they think.

The idea comes from a combination of a couple of doctrines, first their leaders have taught about a prophecy given my Joseph Smith about his own run for POTUS in 1844, however since it didn’t come to pass, it has been extended to a future event. This is called the White Horse Prophecy. The link below has a lot of details.

http://www.utlm.org/onlineresources/whitehorseprophecy.htm

The second part of this is the LDS teaching that Jesus will rule from Missouri during the millennium and have the leaders of the LDS as his ‘assistants’. This also ties into Joseph Smith and Brigham Young’s theocratic rule and ambitions.

The idea that a Mormon would be in charge before the second coming is put forth directly by Bruce R. McConkie, and LDS apostle in his “Messiah” series. The idea is that with the constitution ‘hanging by a thread’, the ‘elders of Zion’ (Mormons) will ride in and rescue the US and will eventually lead to the second coming and an LDS theocracy run from MO led by Jesus Christ himself.

From: http://www.utlm.org/onlineresources/letters_to_the_editor/2003/2003december.htm

“Mormonism teaches that when Christ returns the LDS Church leaders will be acting under his direction to run the governments of the world. When the Mormon prays “thy kingdom come” he is praying for the time when Mormonism will rule the world, under Christ. The Mormon teaching is that Christ’s return will be post-tribulation, pre-millennial. The righteous dead will take part in the first resurrection at this time, the wicked will come forth in the second resurrection at the end of the millennium.

The Mormons do not have a concept of the rapture of the believer at the time of Christ’s return. The wicked will die and those who are moral will stay on earth in a mortal condition. Some of the purposes of the millennium are to catch up on all the baptisms and temple marriages needed for the dead, so that they may have the same opportunities to accept Mormonism as the living. At the end of the millennium they believe Satan will be loosed for a short period. (See Mormon Doctrine, by B. McConkie, 1979 ed., pp.74, 492-501, 687-698 and Encyclopedia of Mormonism, vol. 2, pp.737-739, 906-907.)]”

Hope this helps.

Gingrich personally was paid $300,000 for a historical consultant for FM, 2006-2008.
The Gingrich Group received $1.5 million from 1999-2007 as consultants.
If you are going to excoriated him at least get the figures correct.

I’ve been meaning to thank Jim for agreeing with my choice in the GOP nomination race.

Nice going, Jim! And kudos for banning pro-Romney posts from FR.

The big MO (not mohammed) is with Newt.

The demeanor Mitt and Santorum had last night was do nice or die in SC (just following a lot of SC history considering they’re from PA and MASS).

It looks like a lot of people long for a candidate to get in the Libs face like as I call him “take no prisoners” Newt. Easy to see that playing Mr. Nice against nobama and the shitcago thugery will at the minimum make Mr. Nice look more like Mr. Wimp.

In a way Newt is a lot like the Founding Fathers, by being willing to put everything on the line for America.

"Gosh" Sis, it's been a long time.

When Dad passed at 90 he asked if you were still as pissed as you used to be, and I told him, "I expect so, but she is so ready to storm the gates of Hell in honor of God and Country, we never get to see her."

Perhaps they should change the name of this place from 'FREERepublic' to 'GroupthinkRepublic'.

If you feel that way, then why are you still here?

Beck supporting Romney does not make ANY sense at all. His rant against Newt is a bit much as well.

If he were true to what he’s been speaking about and “standing for” the last three years (at least), you would think, logically, he’d be all in for Santorum.

Why ANYONE with any sense of logic, reason or a brain, for that matter, would think Romney can beat Obama, is beyond me. He’s such a fraud, and if you ask me, a set up, just like McCain was.

I’m still rooting for Santorum, but I’ll jump in behind Newt if that’s the way it pans out. F Romney. F the Establishment.
